keep the dog tied or pick things up when he is not being supervised, or you could install one of those hand dog runs.

Bring the dog inside it sounds like the dog is bored and lonely.... dogs usually chew up the belongings of people they miss and want more attention from.... if your dog is destroying your belongings you are not spending enough time with the dog. Try providing chew toys like Nylabones and Kongs, make sure to pick up and put away any and all things that the dog can chew, take your dog for a walk every day, play with your dog for at least 15 minutes every day and make sure that your dog has plenty of his own toys to chew... when you catch him chewing your things, just say NO and replace it with one of his toys. The dog will learn, but you need to also learn that dogs are pack animals and they NEED social interaction and mental stimulation constantly or they will develop problem behaviours.

socialize him to the family more give him somthing in place of what hes getting into never scolled after the fact he doesnt undrstand. u have to catch him in the act. sounds like he wants atention to give him lots of chew toys that dont schread and something that the family can enjoy with him that way when your to busy and hes bored he will have toys also and if that dont work put him is own little safe play yard with all his toys even some chew bones that are safe. until u can be together even if that means putting a dogrun up. sounds like hes high risk of getting somthing in his tummie that wont come out without vet care. somthimes the thought of a dog run dosnt sound but i call it a safe run for our beloved pets that can get into more mischief than what they bargain for good luck with chewy

Train the dog. If he starts chewing something he shouldn't, tell him "No!" or "No Chewing!" in a loud, firm voice. And be prepared to punish him if he does it anyway.

Otherwise, you will have to find a way to keep your dog away from the stuff, such as a cable run or perhaps a large storage crate. Not that I think that will work for the swimming pool, but it should for other things.

Good luck!

You can use a product called apple bitters, it's a spray, and just spray it on whatever, and when your dog goes for the toys he/she gets a bad taste and smell in his/her mouth. Eventually your dog will learn that these items taste bad and stop chewing them. Another good idea is give him/her their own outsid etoys to play with and put the reat in something like a deck box or hang them on the wall so that doggie can't get them.

Your dog is bored out of his mind and is looking for anything to occupy his time.

Take him for brisk walks a couple of times a day. Buy him chew bones that are good for his teeth and gums.

Take the time to train him.
