'Cause the jury's still out on what to do, and how to go about it. I think it's widely recognized that there's a problem, but a lot of city administrators/state officials, and Congress are all sitting around scratching their heads on this one....of course the 'happy ending' answer would be for Mexico to pull its' socks up and take care of its' own people, but yeah, that's gonna happen...well maybe it will, if the border gets pulled shut until they do it...that'd make a lot of people mad, but it's definitely an option if nothing else is working....drunks aren't helped by giving them more beer money, you gotta let em sleep it off in the ditch they fell in, and sober up.
Mexico's notorious as a haven for drug smugglers and users, from alcohol to heroin, and all points in between. When people are high/drunk, how are they supposed to concentrate on the job?
And, if the job is fixing your country, and it's a depressing mess to start with, can't blame em for wanting to hit the sauce. But,
getting drunk only does one thing: It give your problems time to call up their friends and gang up on you, be it 'you' as a person or 'you' as a nation, the dynamic is probably about the same, eh?

Mexico needs to sober up and get 'unhooked' off america as well as anything else they might be addicted to. Sobriety's a *****, but at least you know what's really going on...

The reason why is cause, #1 The law protects any kind of protests, just imagine, when they had the black people protest during malcom X's era, that would be the perfect time for the KKK to take over all the black people right? the same thing with Gay protests etc etc, so well, to be able to get a protest you need go get a permit, and the cops will even protect that protest no matter what...... #2 These people werent doing anything wrong, they were just demanding to be treated as human beings, I dont think that's illegal...... #3 I dont think the government has enough INS agents to control that huge amount of people, I believe they were around 10,000 some cities, and other ones were like 50,000. So Illegal is Illegal, so can you believe that in some states its Illegal to do other sex positions than the missionary? I dont think you want to be that bored, right? We all break the law sometimes in our lives, just cause the governments says its wrong that doesnt mean IT IS WRONG, this people are working just like you and me and dont forget that Human rights are more powerful than that....Have a great day!

The illegals have no respect for any law that isn't connected with providing them welfare, free housing, education, health care etc.

They are the worst lowest form of leeches sucking the life out of America.

It's a political thing, with elections right around the corner, the politicians don't want to take a chance and offend anyone, especially Hispanics, they could lose a lot of votes.

that is a very good question, I'm sure part of the answer is politics,, and part of it is that people who use illegal immigrants for work are voters who might not vote for the governor again and don't want to see them sent back...but i'm with you,, illegal is supposed to be illegal,,,i don't get it either..

Maybe you should learn how to spell first? :)

ps: and to answer your questions--the almighty US government did not have the means to round up all of the illegal aliens on May 1st. I do not think that the government will ever have the means to do that. And I am happy, because more people will get a chance for a better life.
