I was just wondering what kind of dog he is? I just cannot think of the breed. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks in advance.

The dogs that played Winn Dixie, which were two by the way, were a rare breed from France called Picardy Shepherds. Your welcome in advance. I don't mind helping when I can.

I believe the dog is a Berger Picard... a french breed
too ugly not to be considered adorable! I love that dog... there's a fun site to go to for the younger fans...and a breed page for Picardy!

The two dogs used for the movie were rare Berger Picard dogs named Lyco and Scott that were brought over from France for the movie.
