I think God is like any loving parent, loves the child no matter what, but can 'hate' the actions. I don't personally think God hates homosexuals, even though the act is condemned in the bible.
This is a tough question because God creates us all for a reason, and I believe with some gays and lesbians, it's a chemical/hormonal thing and not just "choice'.
Lesbianism is somewhat more socially acceptable than gay men, for what reason I don't know, it's all the same to me. Maybe because men are in more strictly defined social roles than women. Men are considered gay or effeminate if they are hairdressers or nurses, for example, but a woman cable guy or truck driver usually doesn't have her sexuality questioned. Women can easily wear typical men's clothing, jeans and t-shirt for instance, and still be considered totally female. But put a guy in a kilt or a pink shirt and the rude remarks start to fly.
I think it's pretty rude, why can't we all just be whoever/whatever we want and be ok? I don't think flaunting sex preferences is acceptable in the general public, no matter if homo or hetero or bi or whatever. What's private should be kept there.

I have wanted to comment on this for a long time.
As far as I am concerned, homosexuals are no better or worse then anyone else on the planet. Much less would I hate anyone. What people do is between them and GOD.
I have the God given rite to decide how to judge the wrongs done to me. This alone will take more then a lifetime so I would be nutz to try and judge for GOD like he can't handle the job. I know what the Bible says about it and many other things like pride and not honoring my Mother and Father and putting other things above GOD.Not to mention Lusting someone in my heart, GOD forbid I be judged for that! I would be a crispy critter.
I believe people project their own phobia's onto their spiritual beliefs to super charge their personal agenda or to justify their own sins.
Its sad but I see it.
GOD doesn't hate homosexuals he sent his only son to die for them just like he did for me.

Christians don't say God "hates"...our God is a God of Love... in fact, we even have songs that say "God *is* Love"....
If there is any confusion on any Christian saying, you need to take it to the source, The Book:
Lev 20:13
"If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them."
So according to the Bible, the act of homosexuality is an abomination. But as you can see it doesn't say God hates them.
Not everybody love lesbians though, some of them have quite a bit of self hate... Sad.
Love the sinner, reject the sin.

God loves everyone but He hates sin. So God hates what they do. Did you know that a lesbian is a homosexual? Why do you use that term only with males?

God does not hate homosexuals. John 3:16 ¶ "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, ........" God love everyone of us whether we make bad choices or good choices. He gives us the power and choice how to live. (and no I'm not saying "gay" is a choice. it's not. but fornication, sodomy and adultery are.) Again God does not hate Homosexuals.
Oh and if you are a Christian and YOU hate homosexuals, then you need to reevaluate your Christianity.

No, God does not hate anybody, to include homosexuals, rather he hates their lifestyle. And yes, this would include the behavior of lesbians, but he does not by any means hate them.

What is this hang-up you have with bashing religious beliefs ? If some believe what you don't believe, what's it to you ?

God loves us all. God does not care what a persons sexual orientation is! Sin and hell are from the imaginations of men. The bible is man made,. not God made.,
