It depends on the people here at any given time...those of us who have been around for a while know whos' joking and who's not...ultimately any question can probably cross the line as far as someone else is concerned.

I think you should be able to ask whatever you want as long as they go by Y-A guide lines and rules. Some hatefull people are really seeking attention and some maybe crying for help. You never know when you may actually help someone. I sometimes take the risk. But some aren't worth the time to read or answer.

But where is the line really.. it's invisible because what I feel is offensive may not be what you think is. So one could push over the line in my view but not yours. Not everyone will ever be pleased no matter what. But I'd keep to the general rule of society and keep any questions that exploit children out of it.

I don't believe any "question" would cross the line. It is up to an individual to answer and respond to it or not. However, it the "question" is more in line of a disparaging , degrading or insulting nature, then that would certainly cross the line of impoliteness.

People have different ideas on what they find offensive, so the answer would be different for everyone. I don't believe that I have ever been offended, but I can be very offensive to some.

I feel you can ask anything, you can say anything and to H*** with the PC stuff.
This is America and it is supposed to be the land of the free.
If you are offensive so what?
Your opinion is as good as mine.
I have offended people in my life, that is life. No one walks a perfect line.
Jesus Himself didn't please all the people did He?
You are free to say any thing you want. I also am free.

I think people cross the line when they so thinly disguise their hateful propoganda as a religious question. There are far to many "questions" on here that are simply a ploy for people to attack and spew forth their religious doctorine.

Everyones line of offense and taste is so different.
For me in all fairness if people just wouldn't use terrible, violent, pornographic, or vulgar curse words in the question itself that everyone sees and leaves it for the additional part of their question so people could choose to look at it or not, I wouldn't mind at all.

It's really offensive to put something in the heading of your question, that is completely unrelated to the actual question you are asking; thereby tricking people into clicking on your question.
It's way bad manners.

We should follow the words of Justice Potter Stewart when he was describing the line between art and pornography:
"I can't define what is pornography. But I know it when I taste it"
come to think of it, he might have said "see it". I can never remember.
