what do you think of colorguard?

I'm a sophomore in High school and im in colorguard. I made it onto rifle line and sabre line!!!! but im kinda scared cuz im not the best dancer. i dont have time for classes. im next to this senior who has been dancing for at least four years. ahh!!! i just started dancing last year in colorguard. but ive gotten better. still, my coaches are giving me crap about not being able to dance as well as the senior.

oh well. what do you think of colorguard?
i love it!!!!! my 4 best friends are on it with me.

i recommend it to everyone.

would you join it if you had it at your school?

i mean you get to go so manay places and compete against other guards. its so much fun.

I'm a jr. and this will be my 4th season in colorguard (3rd fall season and 1 in winter). It is amazing.

Believe me... this helps with dancing.

1. be aware of what your body looks like

2. in your room (or a private place w/ a mirror) put on a slow song and just dance what you feel. watch yourself in the mirror and fix what you odn't like.

3. try to model off the better dancers in your guard. I have a girl that has danced close to 12 years and she is amazing. Anytime I can I watch her and observe what she is doing and how she moves her body...


all of the above have worked for me. My instructors have even said that I was becoming a better dancer. I also got a dancer part in the balad of our show. But anyway. Just take it slow and try your hardest. Some people can't move their bodies very well off the bat but everyone can learn!!

I love colorguard. I was in it for 5 years...8-12 grades. I was co-captain my senior year. It was a lot of fun.

I am on the colorguard at Lovejoy High School. And I suck. I don't know how I made it. It is so hard but it is lots of fun.

I was going to do it but I don't have time fore the 5 hour practises 3 nights a week.
