The disease can be transmitted by rodents. It's the organism that causes what is commonly known as 'beaver fever'. u dont get giardia from rat droppings. look for a day , remain hydrated. since there r no other symtoms id say ,be easy. you may need to get a stool examination done

The only disease I know you can get from rats is Weil's Disease.
