Ok, I have a new religious believe, and I just wanted to share it with you. I believe that someone named "Sean" is the Lord and Savior of all mankind, and that he died for my sins. Before he died he said that he created the universe, and gave some rules on marriage. He said sex for people over 29 was immorral, and therefor they shouldn't marry.

I want a law from the AMerican government that bans marriage for people 30 and over, since it displeases Sean and he will send more hurricanes like Katrina, he sent Katrina cause he was mad about all the over 30 marriage.

I want it taught in schools Sean created the universe, and that it is not a "life style choice" to get married over 30.

After Sean died he came back, talked a bit, then he ascended into heaven. I know this cause its in my book written by the followers of Sean.

What would be your reaction, would you be upset with me for suggesting this?

Look my dear, can you give me the source of this new belief.. You just not believe any person just passing by you... You have to search for the truth by yourself.. You have to be open minded, you should have temperament to accept what scholars are saying... and what they said.... Its very good to hear that atleast you believe that GOD do exist and there is a heaven and hell.... and the concept behind it... I dont think the question or the opinion you raised has anything to do with arguement and beliefs... There exist many religions, but on the top are Christianity and Islam.... the followers make more than half of the population of this entire mankind...What do you think?? Are they all fools? There must be something that bind them and push them to stick into their beliefs... The world is open for you, You just have to search it, and do search for the truth in the right direction....

Regards...

I don't like that religion either. I think I'll stick with atheism thanks.

As far as reaction, I'd laugh my butt off....suggesting no sex after 29....like that would ever happen =) As far as "Sean" creating the universe, we'll never know, so sure, you can teach that in schools.....right along with FSM and ID. The kids won't mind going to school 18 hours a day, just to cover all the different thoeries, right?

I'm hearing you, but there's a couple of fundamental differences.

1. Your hypothetical Seanian religion is still only at cult-level; you don't have the followers to elect anyone, or even to get many folks to take you seriously. Therefore it is unreasonable for you to ask for the laws of your country to be changed.

2. It is a change in the country's current laws that you're asking for. In the real case to which your analogy is referring, the definition of marriage already IS, and a group is asking not only the law to be changed, but the very definition of the word to be changed. Remember, no one prohibits gays from being married -- they just aren't legally allowed to marry someone of the same sex.

It seems civil unions may be the best way to put all this to rest. I'm not in favor of redefining marriage, but I can't legislate what these people do. Civil unions would at least allow them to gain access to health care for their partner, etc., and would not be limited to "love" relationships, but could be operated like a life insurance policy -- for instance, I could enter into a civil union with my brother or my aunt so they could receive the benefit of my Humana plan. I still feel odd about this, but it seems more reasonable than redefining marriage.

I wouldn't be upset with you, but I wouldn't take you seriously.

I say, 'All hail SEAN'. We mustn't disbeleive him, or ask for proof. Sean, great name for a god, God is just so...unimaginative...LOL.

So basically I totally follow where he is going with this and I totally agree. Besides, science and the bible disagree, and look at all the different religions out there. I had this theroy years ago that king James was displeased with the way his subjects didn't obey him, and so he concocted this tale of fire and brimstone for those who didn't want to act 'right'. Then he dictated what the right behavior would be by adding the comandments....etc. I dunno if that's what I think anymore, but the God I believe in doesn't think badly of you for questioning some of the things I was told and expected to believe as a christian. My god would be glad I was at least trying to use the brain he gave me.

I suggest Sean consult with Carl Sagan while he is in heaven.

If you were a dog and 30 years old I would agree, because you would be approaching 200 yrs old: otherwise I would have to disagree with your suggestion.

In the west you got hung for your sins, if you got caught! My Mother always said to me about sex before marriage; " You better try that pair of shoes on before you buy them or they may not fit." Now she also told me when I was growing up that all men want to do when you go out with them is get in your pants! So, yes, ban marriage and sex so we don't go blind and insane! Also, my motto is , " I'll worry about it tomorrow! " Besides who cares what others think. :)

Dude

I really don't give two f**ks. I would be happy if you died. I am not upset at your suggestion, however I do feel dumb after reading it. I think that maybe you and George Bush (Junior) should get drunk together and videotape it. Air it on national television for the world to see. You would really be doing the world a great service, it would be so funny because watching stupid people get drunk is really funny.

Have a nice day and g f**k yourself.
