The Spirit of God going across the water at the creation story is indicative of "giving life". Remember when God "Breathed" into Adam. The old meaning of Spirit of God is "God's Breath'

As the Holy Spirit, or Spirit of God "went across the waters" He was giving life to the newly created planet. The analogy you make would seem to indicate a comparison in that the little Ark was also on a similar mission of bringing life back to earth when the waters receeded.

Very philosophical of you to put that together that way.

anybody who believes that a guy put ten billion species of animals on a single boat is an idiot. the boat would have to be bigger than any boat we can make today, and he would have to be the captain and crew of the boat with only his family to help him.
