Regualr excercise can help over time. Even walking. If that doesn't work, disolve zanax under your tongue.

You sound as if you are suffering from anxiety attacks. They can be brought on by many different causes. You should probably make a doctors appointment, there are meds that will help these conditions. Are you beginning to go through perimenopause or menopause? Anxiety attacks can be caused by the hormonal changes in your body. St. Johns Wort and Black Cohash can be used to keep you in a much calmer state of mind and body. The very first anxiety attack I ever had was so severe, my blood pressure shot up and I was lightheaded and for a few seconds, I thought that I was having a heart attack. Exercise and a healthier diet can help control this also. Please get some help. Life is made for living, and not suffering. I'll say a prayer for you. Have a good day.

What works for me is to sit quietly, turn off everything possible, think about a single calm thing, and take enough time to let things go.
You can sit cross legged on the floor on in a chair, but be in a position you can sustain.
Turn off the TV, radio, Ipod, computer, game boy, telephone, everything. Part of what drives people crazy is too much input.
I like to think of floating on the water on a nice quiet beach. Warm sand, sunny but not hot, barely any waves, no one around.
Another is a meadow with a clear stream, grass, butterflies, clouds moving across the sky.
I tend to count things so I count how many breaths I take, that occupies my mind enough. But when your mind thinks about money or what your sister said or what your boss demanded or why the judges for Amerian Idol are goofs STOP.
It takes a while to get the hang of it, but you can do it.
As an alternative you can go for a walk, if you're in a place where you can do that. An easy walk relaxes your muscles and releases some endorphins which help your brain.
Good luck.

I have the same problem, I know how you feel. Ugh.. I hate how it gets in the way of everything!
What usually helps me is a nice, hot bath, a coffee, and my favorite music (...stick to calmer tunes). Music without words is good too because it's soothing.
If you find it affects a lot of important aspects of your life, there are medications for it. See your doctor to find out or search it on the web to have some sort of idea before you're perscribed with anything.
I was considering it, but I'm already on a couple medications for other things and I want to help get rid of my anxiety on my own :)
Good luck to you!

When I get angry at little things I just try to relax and look at the bright side of life. At least I am here to get any sort on emotions. When people make me angry I just look at them and imagine them nude, most of the ppl who make me mad are not very bright individuals anyway. When I was your age I was like that too, but really with age you tend to calm down quite a bit. Walmart sells St. John's Worth an herbal supplement for a reasonable price, to help calm you down with your nerves. I think you are just stressed out. If you ever feel like talking IM me I am a good listener.

You could be having tension caused from a medical condition so you really should see a doctor. It's hard for us to know what the cause of this is. It could something as simple as having too much caffiene. If that's the case you just have to wait it out. Are you taking any new medications or recreational drugs? Are you taking diet pills? Any of this could cause a racing heart beat and dizziness.

Sounds like you have good common sense, noticing the non-ability to drive. I believe that is a good idea. . right at the present time.
Are you seeing a physician, do you take medications, high blood
pressure etc. OR is this a phobia?
See a doctor, you really should not feel this way.
Get checked out. good luck

Deep breathing, stretching, a nice cup of tea. Talk to your doctor, social anxiety is an actual medical condition.

Try drinking some chamomile tea taking a long hot bath listen to some kind of music that you find relaxing like soft rock or jazz. Also try exercising to burn off some of that nervous energy.
