If you do not call your insurance company, the other driver's certainly will. Look on the insurance card. It will show the name of the insurance company and the name of the agent. There will also be a phone number for the agent and if it is a larger insurance company like Progressive or State Farm, there will be a "1-800" number to call and report the accident.
Rental coverage is an option that does not come with every policy. You will have to check with the agent. Most probably, even if there is rental coverage, you will not be able to rent a car since: 1) The policy is in your father's name, 2) You are only 18 years old. Most rental companies will only rent to someone 21 or older.

Hi. From the limited info you provided, it does sound like your fault, regardless of a blind spot.
The report is necessary for insurance, and you should keep it on file because this accident will raise your insurance for many years to come (generally 5.)
This should be reported to your insurance immediately. You should have done it already. Your car will only be covered under insurance if you parents have collision insurance. Otherwise, your insurance will only cover damage to the other driver's car. (If the car is worth a lot of money, chances are your dad had collision.)
Rental coverage is something extra that your dad may or may not have on his policy. This is a question for the insurance company, and if he has it, it usually covers a certain $ amt ($30 or so) per day and you're responsible for the rest.
There is also a deductible to think about -- generally people have one ranging from $250 to $1000, which you would have to pay before the rest of the expense is paid tby insurance to fix your car.
Is there any way you can get in touch with your dad? Not to freak you out, but this is really quite serious. Your dad's policy will more than likely be cancelled, or the premiums will double or triple. You will, unfortunately, be a major insurance risk for the next 3-5 years and will have a very hard time getting insurance.
Start by picking up that report, and trying to get a hold of your dad. Take a deep breath...this will all work out, but you will need to stay on top of things until everything is settled.

Well, number one, ou need to ge the report to get the case number for your insurance. Nxt you need your insurance carrier. you'd know who it is by looking at your insurance card. you have ot have one of those cause you had to show the cop or you'd have gotten a ticket. then call your agent and explain and give the case number and the other drivers info.
your policy only covers a rental if you have rental insurance, again you can find that out with your insurance agent.
good luck, your insurance is going to sky rocket. But hey, make it a lesson learned and be aware of drivers around you. People are a** holes and will hit you for no reason sometimes just to make it your fault. there are people out there that make money doing that kind of stuff. Beware!!!!

you can't go to the car/pick up the report both should have the insurance policy number in/on it. Then you can call and find out.
You won't know about the rental until you find out what the policy has on it. If it's just liability - then no. and then it won't cover to have your car fixed.
If you have comp and collision - it will pay for the vehicle to be fixed...and that is the only way you can have rental reimbursement as well.

Alright... The officer should have taken down all informations such as driver information for both vehicles and vehicles information on both as well as passenger information. You should have gotten a carbon copy of this information. If not then he should have given you a case number. You need to go pick up a copy of the report for insurance puposes. They are going to request it. But you need to contact your insurance immediatly. If you don't know who your insurance is then you have a serious problem. One, you can't drive a vehicle without insurance, and seeing how you said he didn't charge you with an improper turn, and he didn't charge you with failure to carry insurance on your vehicle, then you have insurance. You need to find out who it is and call them. The other driver's insurance and your insurance will figure out the rest. As for your rates, they are propably going to go up. Sorry for your misfourtine.

Usually the victim fills out a police report. It is arguable that this accident was your fault. Worst case...you will probably have an SR22 (insurance fine)

If i'm wisdom this precise it seems such as you have been pulling out of a motor vehicle park to coach left onto a street. The street is 4 lanes on the two aspects. the two lanes of site visitors closest to you, heading the alternative way of how you have been turning stopped to enable you pull out in front of them to coach. the female that hit you became vacationing contained in the third lane over (out of the 4 lanes which you have been crossing in front of to coach)? if it rather is the case than you're at fault. the female that hit you had the perfect of way. even even with the undeniable fact that the two lanes of site visitors have been waving you on, you nonetheless did no longer have the perfect of way. that's not appropriate that her brakes have been going out. I even have worked as an coverage agent for the previous 9.5 years & I even have seen a number of injuries very equivalent to this one. In all of them, the guy that became pulling out in front of site visitors to coach left became deemed at fault. desire this facilitates.
