People live and people die. There is no way to save them all, the best thing you can do is help your community and then the world. Look around you, you do not live in a perfect community. There are crimes such as petty thefts and arson all around you. We have homeless people in our cities. This is a problem. We see how there are problems in other countries and at the same time reject the problems at home. We do not give enough thought to this. Most of us go through daily life without solving a problem for either people in our community or the world.
No one should feel good about people dying, but people should not feel guilty unless they caused it or was a part of it. One should change their ways before changing the world. When one has changed his or her ways, he or she has changed the world already.

No. I am sad, but do not feel guilty. I've never done anything in my entire life that would contribute to a child starving. I do not believe in being guilty for something I'm not responsible for. That type of guilt is used for manipulation only.
That being said, I wouldn't NOT contribute to helping a starving child just because I'm not guilty. I do have COMPASSION. It's a different (and better) motivation for helping those less fortunate, than unfounded guilt.
Hope this answered your question!

Not when my own children are suffering. The United States as always been there to help and feed famished countries, only to have them turn on us.How quick the people of other regions forget.Sometimes the U.S. would be there to help people in other countries, before they would take care of their own.No one should die of hunger and poverty in our country ........

16 Million children go hungry, the parents of those kids should be hung and dropped in the middle of the ocean. I don't want to pay higher taxes because idiots can't take care of their kids.

Nope..
Not my fault, not my responsibility, not a bleeding heart liberal...
I sympathize and if / when an opportunity to help presents itself, I do something to help but personal guilt is nonsense...
Feeling guilty is for those responsible and for fools...

Quit pointing out the splinter in my eye. First remove the LOG in yours.
Christ told us. For the poor you shall always have with you.
