If the bites are very deep, your dog could have damaged ligaments and it may be best to take your dog to the vets for a good check up.

If it is bleeding very badly, tie a torniquet tightly just above the spot that is bleeding and take your dog to the vet immediately.

If, however, it is just a flesh wound, wash it with warm salty water. This will disinfect it and help your dog heal properly.

Keep a watch on your dog's wounds, wash them and dry them a couple of times a day. If your dog licks her wounds this is the best treatment as she will heal herself faster.

Do check to make sure the German Shepherd has had all it's vaccinations. Have a quick word with your vets or the local animal welfare officer to put your mind at rest.

I'm so sorry you and your dog have had to go through this - I can imagine how upsetting it must be for you.

First of all you need to call animal control - then check and see if there is a 24 hour vet emergency clinic - if not check out the doctors at the pound - they are alot cheaper than a regular vet.
Have you contacted the owners of the other dog? Was your dog on a leash? These are all things that will be asked - if all else fails call the police. Some hydrogen peroxide is very cheap and it is a antibacterial cleansing agent - pour on the wounds and lightly wrap until your dog can be seen by a professional.

Put betadine on the wounds, wrap it with a clean bandage, if he is bleeding hold it wrapped in the bandage but if it doesn't seem to stop go to a vet urgently or call a human doctor -friend of yours if you can't find a vet. He will also need antibiotics, perhaps, to prevent infection, the vet will tell you.

go kick the German Sheperds ***, then come back to your huskey and explain to him the you have venged his agony, it will make him feel much better. On the real side : take him to the vet. Let him rest alot, lots of water. Good luck.

Peroxide on the wounds and keep an eye on it. If its a large gash, it will need stitches. He may also end up with an abscess, so be careful. You'd have to see a vet for that too.

First of all get him to an emergency vet. They have everything needed to treat him. Next find out who the shepard belongs to and find put if he has his shots. Make the owner pay the vet bills.

You probably should take him to the vet, especially if you don't know how serious it is. If you try to do it yourself, he may bite you out of pain/fear.
My dog bites herself bloody so I use peroxide or another wound cleanser on it and put neosporin on it as well. I then bandage it up so she can't lick it off.

Get him a satellite collar, to make him stop licking it. Then put on some neosporin, and wait a few days for it to heal up, and if they're deep wounds, take him/her to the VET
