I've tried! When I was little, while popping the lollipop in and out (not just a regular short lick from the tongue), it took me about 300 and something licks before I got to the center. When you think about it now that you're older.. sounds kind of perverted.

About 50 licks.

over the years I performed that delicious experiment with varied results.

IMHO:

results range from 1

to persistent licking until I lost count and without being aware of when entered the chocolatey core layer and then lost all my data.

But it was good.

I decided a new study need to be developed for the good of all mankind. I would explain how to not scrape up the roof of a little ones mouth and still enjoy the scrumptious pop.

Study is still pending :)

It's like 3,000 something (or maybe it was 300... I dont remember)I had a friend who did this before (but it was like 10 years ago.. so I dont remember the right number... I just know it started with 3). Her tongue was raw for weeks.
