They say sin is sweet for only a season. You would think if we do it enough, we'll learn.

Sure.

(Ecclesiastes 11:9)

Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.

That is exactly what we are here to do, although calling it sin is a misunderstanding.

The first thing that someone should be considering is whether the idea of sin is actually real.

If God is supposed to be perfect how could She have made anything or anyone that wasn't perfect.
Think about it. The idea of sin assumes certain things about God that seem highly unlikely.

First it assumes a God who is too incompetent to organize a simple educational field excursion and figure out a way to get all of the students home safely.

How likely is this that God would not be smart enough to come up with a plan for our salvation that is going to work?

It also assumes that God must have created us imperfect if we are sinners.

One might assume that God would be able to create someone perfect each and every time if he chose to. Assuming God is capable of this, then it follows logically that we must be perfect creations if we are actually creations of this perfect God.

Unless of course you are saying that God chose to create us imperfect.

If God created us imperfect then anything that may go wrong is Gods fault, not ours. This seems a bit illogical at best so I think that we need to assume that What God creates would have to be perfect.

If this is the case and Gods creations are perfect, then nothing that we can do could change what God created perfect and make it imperfect unless we think that we are more powerful than God is.

How likely is it that we the creation could be more powerful than the creator. I personally find this idea somewhat amusing, and a bit absurd.

Religion tells us that God is perfect. If this is true then it could hardly be logically for Gods creations to be considered to be anything less than perfect.

If this is the case then Nothing that we can ever do could possibly change this perfection that God willed, unless we were so powerful that our choices could override and change the will of God.

How likely is that????

Think about it.

The idea of sin is simple nonsense; a lie made up about God by religion.

If you chose to Sin, then it is on you. Hopefully, you won't get killed or die before you can ask forgiveness. To Sin is to go against the word of God. Do you realize what that means? Does sinning make you feel that good ? Well all things must be answered for. Why do you suppose that it reads that the children will suffer for the sins of their Fathers ? You will pass your sinful life onto your children. Probably unto the third and the fourth Generation of them who hate God. So carefully think this over. Ask God to forgive you and let you follow in his footsteps .

If sin is only sweet for a season then I know people whose season is lasting about 30 years. They have yet to learn. So I doubt that'll work. Sorry. :(

Once you get tired of receiving the real world consequences for what has been labeled as sin then you understand why it is a bad idea. Not doing it because you are scared of hell doesn’t work for most people, not doing it because you know the consequences does work. Such is the system of duality and experience.

We can stop sinning, if we get higher taste for spiritual activities. Sin brings misery. Sin can be sweet for a moment, but according to the laws of karma, it will bring great suffering in the future. However, we need enjoyment. We are by nature pleasure-seeking. Usually people think that without sin there cannot be any enjoyment and happiness. But that is not true. There are many people in this world, devotees of Lord Krishna, who have forever given up the four sinful activities, namely, meat eating (including fish and eggs), intoxication (including tea, cofee and cigarettes), illicit sex (sex other than for procreation) and gambling, and still they are very happy, because they have learned how to enjoy spiritually by chanting and hearing about the Supreme Lord. This enjoyment is far greater than that derived from sinful activities mentioned above, and furthermore, their enjoyment does not bring suffering in the future, but simply more and more enjoyment. By practice of bhakti-yoga you can also learn how to enjoy without sin. Returning to your original question, if we continue sinning and if we do not meet devotees of the Lord, who tell us about higher taste, we will never get tired from sin. Although we will be miserable like anything, due to illusion and due to desire to get pleasure, we will be eternally entangled in sinful activities.
So take advantage of association of devotees, give up sinning and taste ever-increasing happiness forever. If you want to know more about the practice of bhakti-yoga, you can contact me. Good luck to you.

Why do you want to learn the hard and expensive way risking your precious soul? When you are tired of sinning you'll end up as an agent of Satan dragging many into the Fire of Hell.
No jokes with this dirty Devil.

Sins are the problems of the faithful, once you rid yourself of whatever faith you follow, Sins will go the same way. than you'll have to find your own definitions for good and bad, or what's acceptable in the society you live.

No, just keep doing it until you get good at it!

St. Augustine had a similar sentiment. He prayed, "God, give me chastity-- but not yet!"

But seriously, folks, one should live by their conscience and follow the Golden Rule. If by "sin" you mean "pleasure", that's none of the business of either Church or State, as long as you don't hurt anyone.

No, because it is not possible to stop sinning because, as you may know, we are all born sinners and the only way to de-sin ourselves is to die.
