There is no such thing as an "easiest" language in general. A language that is related to one that you already know will be easier to learn than one that is not related. If you know English, then Dutch, Icelandic, Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, and German would be the easiest (most closely related). French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese would be a bit harder (less closely related). Unrelated languages like Chinese, Turkish, or Bantu would be much more difficult.

P.S.: Chinese and Japanese are not related at all. Japan borrowed the Chinese writing system, which is why they look alike. Japanese is actually distantly related to Korean.

"Easiest" depends on what language(s) you already know. Americans typically think that Spanish is easy to learn, but Dutch is also very easy for Americans

Spanish and Italian are both pretty easy languages to learn. I think Spanish is the easier or the two, though.

Any language is easy to learn if you begin learning at childhood, when you are more receptive to it, but Spanish and Italian are both basic languages that are not too difficult to master as an adult. English is actually the hardest language to learn as an adult or a second language.

Spanish has always been known to be the easiest. The spelling of words actually sound like you would expect. There are no words like

eight
flight
ceiling (c and s have same sound)
heirloom (silent letters)
AArdvark

And so on

I would say nothing's too difficult when your interest is greater than the obstacles.

I am drawn to Nihongo and Hangul because I am interested in learning the cultures of Japan and Korean. I am Singaporean Chinese.

if your first language is english, i'd say german, because they belong to the same family of languages. french, spanish, italian, portuguese and roman belong to a different set.
