not only were a lot of kung-fu forms created by women the most modern and spread form of kung-fu, Wing-Chun practitioned, was created by a female and is highly. last time i checked women have more flexibility than men, and if not are more flexible can achive flexibilty faster than men. So sayig you can never be a kung-fu amster is uninteligent. As long as you dedicate yourselve and apply yourselve you should do fine. I have been training in kung-fu for many years now and the only gender to ever beat me in atournament were females. because men are to slow and not willing to do the splits, mainly cause there weak and scared they may smack there testicals against the ground. boo who. i believe in you and don't let otheres words bring you down, good luck and have fun!

Who ever told you that is a liar! True, most martial arts schools are male based, but that doesn't mean girls can't get in. Ever watch the Dragon Princess or Kung Fu Hussle? Or heard of the legedary samurai Tomoe Gozen? In fact, in feudal Japan, the women were taught how to use the naginata in order to defend their homes when the men were away.
Women are very capable at being a Kung-Fu master. Just make sure you remain diligent to the art. Don't let their words lead you astray. It may just mean that they are afraid of a girl being better than them. Keep your chin up, and don't show them weakness. Show them only your strength and dedication. You just might win them over.

And you have to get on here to ask? Are you training now? WHy listen to them? Do you understand what it takes to become a master in an art? Yea...not first degree, not second, not third, not fourth, not fifth, but a sixth degree black belt.
So I really question if a) you know what you are talking about and what is required b) why you are asking people here on line what to do about it c) why you aren't out there trying to learn instead of being on the computer.
That said...maybe they laugh because they know the answers. If you want to prove them wrong then do it...My 10 yr old daughter is working on 2 yrs now in Hapkido and plans on sticking with it for the rest of her life. Sex is not important.

You have just as much ability to be a master as anyone else, but it will take many years to learn; train hard, stay focused, and you'll prove them wrong.
There are female instructors so that's a load of crap that they say that, and you have the right to go as far as you want to in ANY Martial Art.
Stick with it and you'll do fine

Strange that somebody would say that when Crane was originated by a woman...
Just do your homework on a system and realize that dedication, practice, strength, and technique are not determinate on gender.
Good luck in your training.

First, learn how to spell "fair", then train really hard and master the techniques you learn while not listening to anyone who says you can't be anything you want to be.

Forget them.. If you want to learn martial arts go for it.. Dont listen to what they say.. If you really want it go for it.. Once you have some skills in the arts then you have prove their theory wrong..
btw use what they say as a motivation.
Have fun!
