Start a "Swear Jar". Each time they swear they have to put a dollar into it. If they don't want to put a dollar in, or refuse, still keep track with an IOU note. Get a real jar of some kind and keep the money in there or the IOU's.

If they are young TIME OUT and mean it. However, they are mirroring wht they hear and see.
If they are older, reason with them and tell them you deserve more respect then that. Tell them that you are hurting over the loss too, and they should not take it out on you!
For the loss counseling is not a bad idea. It is tough to lose a parent and one at an early age. Make them deal with the death in a healthy way not by lashing out. Save your future daughter-in-laws now by making them be a little more concerned with their behavior.

First of all, do YOU swear in the home? Show them the behavior you expect from them. Then, if they swear, tell them that it is not appropriate in the home. YOU are the parent. You need to set the rules, then make sure you follow through. If you use a "swear jar" make sure they put their money in each time they swear. Be consistent.

Sorry about the loss.
I think the swear jar is a good idea. Or you could have them do a specific chore after every swear word. You'll get a cleaner house and cleaner mouths....

Dawn dish detergint works great, to wash out them dirty words. If that does not work then if you give them any $ then start keeping so much of it for them using dirty words.
