I'm looking for a low cost psychologist to help with social anxiety issues, can anyone recommend a good one?

Can you not get one on the NHS?
If you need immediate help try Citizens Advice, the Samaritans, your local Church Minister or Priest.

Being a Native Californian--and not getting out much otherwise--I can only guess at how to approach this. Out HERE--just to give you an idea or two--I would contact a local social services office (an office that is available for human services assistance of some sort or check your phone book & just call various professionals, etc....OR go to Google and type in: "low cost counseling" + "London". In any case, even if you don't find EXACTLY what you want, you might find some success in calling anyway to ask if THEY know of any sources that you CAN use. And tarry a bit on the phone; sometimes it takes folks a few seconds to come up with an idea as to how they can help you.
When I was a social worker, we got this question so often, that we made up a list of all the low-cost counseling sources / psychologists in our area, requirements, etc. I am sure you will find a kind & sensible person who will have the information you seek.
