Do what you want to do and enjoy. A college education will make it easier to enter a higher paying career but usually that requires you to work for a large company. Dog grooming can give you more freedom, your own business, etc...
Do what you think you will be most successful at.

We need all kinds of people to do all kinds of jobs in the world. It is always better to be over-prepared in life than under-prepared though. If you have to wait for two years why not attend university while you wait and see if you like it. It is very different than school you have attended so far. Also, advanced degrees are always in demand and can give you an edge in any field you choose -- even dog grooming. Who is to say you want to be a dog groomer you whole life? The average person changes careers 5 times in their lifetime. Also, university is easier to get into when you are young and many who say they will go when they are later cannot afford to -- bills, kids, etc.
However, there is no reason that every person in the world needs a college degree -- it just helps a ton!!

A person does not have to attend college, although it is a good idea.
Statistically speaking, people without a college degree make less money than those with a college degree.
But it doesn't matter about it very much because it's how well you do in the work field, not the classroom. You may be the best student in your class, the best in your grade, and yet do poorly in the work field because it's a totally different environment.
College degrees aren't necessary for one to live a happy life.
If you are given the opportunity to go to college and you want to, and you believe that it can be more helpful than any other opportunity, then take it.

Dear Girl -
Unfortunately you nor anyone else will be able to attend a collage.
You can read about one, you can make one, you can probably even buy one, but you can not attend one.
Surely there are people in your life that have not attended college;
and surely you know one or two that have that BA or BS and aren't working - or working at a minimum wage job?
You could do both, you know. Check with a local junior college and see if you can take some COLLEGE classes there until you're 18. Then if you still wnat to be a dog groomer, go for it!

If you ask me, college is pretty overrated. But it seems like a BA/BS is like a high school diploma... you can't get anywhere without it, but you can't get anywhere with it alone unless you have Master's or Professional Degree. Also in Bachelor's in something "HOT" like Engineering, Accounting, Nursing, may be enough to get you a decent paying job after graduation.
Dog grooming school seems pretty silly. I think that you should at least go to community college and made learn a trade if you don't want to go to a larger university. Do you honestly want to make a career out of grooming dogs? That seems like something you can do on your own time.
But whatever decision you make, I wish you well.

Many people don't attend college. If you're sure you want to be a dog groomer for life, there's no point in going to college because there's not much benefit. If you want to work in business, banking, education, government, etc. you need to go to college. Now if you plan on starting your own dog grooming business, college (business major) might help.
If you have to wait two years, why not just go to junior college/community college? What else are you going to do during that time?

When you don't know how to spell the word "college", or punctuate sentences, then a little more schooling such as college, surely wont hurt you! Were you to eventually start your own business, but didn't know how to spell or write, your potential customers might get turned off because the thought you were probably illiterate! You don't have to go to college, but you will increase you chances of getting a better paying career, over someone who didn't put in the extra time and effort to go. Employers look at that kind of thing!

it will be harder to find a job if you haven't gone to college first, b/c a lot of places look for college degrees when they're hiring you. you can also make more money at your job with a college degree. you also learn more about your particular field of interest by going ot college.
you might want to look into getting a basic animal science or business degree before going to grooming school, just so you can learn as much about dogs and as much about running a business before you open your own business. you can know how to charge ppl the right amount, etc.

It does count on the severity of the incapacity. If somebody can complete their classes with "actual looking lodging", then i do no longer think of it would be a controversy. Universities (and extensive-unfold/secondary colleges) that obtain any sort of federal government investment (even by using delivers/loans) might desire to abide by ability of ADA, section 504, and theory. those rules be sure that individuals with disabilities get the helps they want. some actual looking lodging might desire to be: having a notice taker, being allowed to checklist the lecture, having somebody sign for you in college throughout the time of the lecture/shows/video clips, option checking out preparations, etc. If the incapacity is so severe that a pupil won't be able to complete coursework regardless of actual looking lodging, then college is probable no longer a solid in positive condition for them.
