I have heard loads of people saying that it really is a Hindu Temple...does anyone have any information on this?

ps...yes I know the story about shah jahan and mumtaz his woman!!...but the story goes that there are seven floors beneath the taj mahal which contain hindu temple artefacts.......can it be true? discuss

yes it was a Mahadev temple but they burn it down and put their ugly looking building on it.

no it was built by some king for his beloved wife. it is supposed to be a monument fo love. thats what i heard when i visited india last year. and is one of the 7 wonders of the world. but it seems thats its losing its appeal and beauty due to a lot of pollution. but its beautiful esp on full moon lights, trust me.

No. It really is a Muslim mausoleum build by a Muslim king for his beloved wife.
Perhaps that rumor is spread to prevent radical Hindi from bombing the beautiful building.

It was built as a mausoleum. And notice the four towers surrounding it, it's Muslim. Look it up in Wikipedia.
