It's a tomb, built by the husband of a deceased princess. It's the ultimate in symbols of love.
In December 1631, the fifth Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan, commenced the construction of one of the greatest monuments of all time, the Taj Mahal. It is a mausoleum built in the memory of his beloved and favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, fulfilling one of the promises that he made to her as she lay on her deathbed:
To erect a monument to match her beauty.

I study the story even nonetheless that's in basic terms too early to leap into end. there are a number of questions which will desire to be spoke back to envision that that's a Tomb. Love tale of Shajahan and Mumtaj seems to be hatched up by ability of the historians. all your questions raised right here have been circulating around for fairly it slow yet Historians and Archaeology dept. of India are retaining mum with regard to the subject.

The Taj Mahal is a CRYPT. It was built for the wife of a Hindu nobleman, whom he loved very much, and wanted to honour in this way.

No. It really is a Muslim mausoleum build by a Muslim king for his beloved wife.
Perhaps that rumor is spread to prevent radical Hindi from bombing the beautiful building.

It was built as a mausoleum. And notice the four towers surrounding it, it's Muslim. Look it up in Wikipedia.
