Dreams interact with people in different ways than it would with other people.
To begin with, people can dream in either color or black/white. Some dream in 3rd person while others dream in 1st person.
Dreams can mean what you really want on the inside, what you desire. Or dreams can just be a fantasy escape from reality which has nothing to do with anything. Some people believe that you can read your dreams to tell the future. Others believe it can be an omen or a sign.
Dreams can have significant meaning. If inside a dream you are not able to talk and you are under pressure such as a boulder is rolling and you are in it's way, it could mean that you are feeling depressed, oppressed, or like you are not able to speak your mind. It can be different for different people. It could also mean plainly nothing or you are seeking for adventure.

people have a few deffinitions of what dreams are. some say they are a literal depicton of what's going on in your life, what's happened and what you think is going to happen. Others say it is symbolic thing. this means, the actions and plots in your dreams don't mean the obvious. there is something deeper. still others say it is just a time for your brain to let loose. Your brain is not supposed to work logically; we force them to work logically. So at night, when your brain doesn't have to do so much work, it kinda lets loose. talking in this view, ppl say that dreams are how our brains really are and how they are supposed to be. Other ppl say that dreams are just nerves firing off responses rapidly and with no reason to them. So what our brain interpret the nerves respones as, is what we dream.
The reason you only remember a few is because we don't make a conscious effort to remember them. but you can't go to sleep and say "i'm going to remember my dreams." if you do want to remember them, try this. when you have a dream and wake up right after it ends, stay awake for a while and try to recall or remember the dream. you have more chances of remembering them that way. another reason we don't remember them is because they are so illogical, when we are thinking logically again, we kinda say, "no, that couldn't happen!" and dismiss the dream.
AS to what time we dream, there really is no time. We dream when we are in the REM stage of our sleep (the deepest sleep stage). We flucuate between 4 or 5 stages of sleep throughout the night so there really is no time at night at which we dream.
Hope this helped! Sweet dream! :)

Dreams help us to sort out the problems we are experiencing in a waking state. Having said that ,I often dream about a town, dont know its name, but if I ever find myself there in a wakeful state, I will know my way around. There is an outdoor cafe near the beach and a stream runs past it. I feel this is a regression to a former life and I was happy there.

I believe the psychological view that it is just your mind getting organised. My dream last night had bits in it from Johnny English (which I'd watched before going to bed) and part of the plot of a library book I was hunting for prior to bed.
