nature does it's own thing, and not on demand. for some couples it takes several years to spawn a child. You were right in that both of you need to stop drinking (and stop smoking if you do that). It's always suggested that the guy wear comfortable shorts, and that the girl be off the pill. And, of course, not be seeing others. Sometimes stress can cause infertility. If after a few years nothing happens, then see your doctor as you may need to be tested and maybe your wigglers may need a boost. Infertility pills (frustrating, costly, time consuming) seems to cause multiple births so be prepared.

One other suggestion would be that you're married, or intend to marry when she gets pregnant so the child has a good upbringing and takes on a surname (if you are in the USA).

You didn't say how long you've been trying for a baby. Give your efforts some time to produce results. Once you have a kid you can't send em back, so enjoy your single time together.

Most couples that have unprotected sex get pregnant within one year. It can take a bit longer if girlfriend was on the pill. Your problem may be related to stress. Also - sometimes abstaining for a couple of days and then having sex while she is ovulating will increase chances for pregnancy. Make sure she is getting folate.
My unsolicited advice - marriage. That way she will know that you have a lifelong commitment to her and the baby.

There's an old saying if you really want something dont try so hard LOL....Just relax have her buy one of those ovulation tests...so that way the both of you know when's the best time...and you know what just have fun while doing it making a baby isnt a chore...just relax it will come in time and if a year goes by and there's still nothing then if I were you I would ask a doctor...dont jump to anything yet...and alcohol wont ruin your chance either...LOL..thats how a lot of babies are made LOL...Good Luck :)

She ovulates around the 14th day of her cycle (If she is on a 28 day rotation). This means that 14 days after she starts her period an egg should be making its way out, ready to be fertilized.

That being said, you want to start having sex on the 12th day and keep having sex until the 17th day. Sperm can survive in her for up to 3 days and this way she will have a nice supply in there waiting to greet her egg when it pops out. :) The 15th -17th days are just for backup.

Lucky for you, this means you get a solid 6 to 7 days of sex, sex and more sex. haha

Best of luck to you. She might want to start taking pre-natal vitamins now, before she conceives, this way she will have a good supply of folic acid which is critical in the earliest stages of development for the embryo.

You can cut out on junk food and take a daily vitamin yourself. Stay out of hot tubs, don't overheat your little fella's and don't masturbate in the shower, wasting anything that could be used productively.

On the contrary, you two can not have sex for three days prior to her 12th day of her cycle so you can build up a healthy supply.

If after a year of trying and there is no conception, then you should seek medical assistance.

Best wishes!

Relax and quit trying so hard and let things happen naturally. Also a big reminder....Take care of your bodies No DRUGS or ALCOHOL before you bring a child into this world and remember it takes an average of $800 per month to raise a child. And something else when you have a child your life is not yours any more.

Actually having sex that often could be the reason. You don't give yourself enough time to regenerate sperm. She should get one of those fertility monitoring kit and try to wait a few days in between so that when the kit says she is ovulating, you have sex.

NOT EVERYONE CAN HAVE A BABY RIGHT AWAY. IT MIGHT TAKE A COUPLE OF YEARS TO GET HER PREGNANT. IF YOU DONT HAVE SEX AT THE RIGHT TIME THEN HER BOYD ISNT READY FOR IT.
