i want to tell someone but he asked me not to so i would feel guilty even tho it would be the right thing to do. if anything goes wrong their family will have no money or house and the dad will have everything.

go to a shelter so what if he has all the money! which is better a life time of beatings or a little bit of a struggle to be safe? I have been through this and it was my ex-husband and me and my two children go out we had nothing but now we have a whole new life a house good job so do not settle for the beatings please that is what makes criminals in our society, get help and fast as you can there are people out there who will help you with open arms and protect you. The right thing to do is tell someone like your parent(s). See what their thoughts are first. The wrong thing to do is to ignore it because if you don't tell someone something bad could happen and it will be to late. Then you would have to live with the guilt. It's like if you had a friend who threatened suicide and you ignored it then you found out he hanged himself you would be very very crushed.

Tell someone. They have special teams that know exactly how to react to this kind of situation.
Is there a psychologist or social service person in your school? Anyway, tell someone you trust. Good luck to you and to your friend.

Tell someone in authority who might be able to help - a minister, a school counselor, the police, a social services person.
Good luck. I hope that you can help your friend.

You have an obligation as his friend to report this to the police and family services. If his mother truely wants to leave, there are organizations that will help her to do so.

Whatever you do the bastard can retaliate. Stick close with your buddy. He'll soon be old enough to get out of the house. Have you told your folks? Good luck to you both!
