I met a wonderful woman (were both in our 30s) through the personals about 6 weeks ago. We met 2 weeks ago and have been out 4 times. we talk and/or email every day. she says that she's never been in a serious relationship.
that's the background. we are going to a get together tomorrow with some of my co-workers (total group about 10). she seemed very eager to go but she does not want me to pick her up -- she wants to meet me. we've met in public every time we've gone out.
then today, i went back to her profile to see something about her, and it says shes been active several times this week.
i like her - but im a little at a loss to understand where i stand. what do you think?

You are not in a committed relationship. She is keeping her options open. She wants to meet in a public place to be safe. Some people don't want to let people know where they live, unless it gets really serious. You have only been out a few times. Just be patient. Keep getting to know each other and if its meant to be it will.

i agree u need to get to know her better and maybe just ask her where the 2 of u stand in a relationship maybe u 2 both have different ideas about it..as u said u were in ur 30s ur not 19 anymore no need to beat around the bush

It's good to meet in public until you earn her trust. She may still be looking for other guys, but it's up to you to win her over if you can. Don't expect her to delete her profile after a couple dates with you. You can't make her like you, you can only try. So don't give up (at least until she tells you to).

I definitly think she is keeping her options open... And maybe she just don't want noone to know where she lives at in case she isn't sure about anyone of you working out... When she finally lets you pick her up you will know she thinks more of you than any of the others she is also dating while dating you

Bottom line-- she is untruthful to someone. It could be that on the profile, she is just trying to be someone that she isn't--or she could be leading you on. I would either forget about her, ask her point blank, or just hang in there and see what happens. Be very cautious.
