paint it one color. let it dry. then take a sponge or even crumbled pieces of newspaper and dip it in another color and just press the sponge/crumbled paper all over or where you want it. you can even let that dry and even add a third color. its pretty cool. its nice when colors are in the same family like blues, greens, etc but it's also nice where there is a little contrast. i did it like the sky. Blue base and white "clouds" with a sponge. Got a great response! Also paint stores have books with easy pictures of similar cool techniques.

Watch TLC,if you have cable/satelite tv."Trading Spaces",
"while you were out",or some shows on HGTV.They usually have good ideas.
