It's gonna be a long flight. Don't sleep the night before so you can sleep on the flight. I used to live in Germany. You might fly from Detroit to Atlanta then Atlanta to Germany on Delta Airlines. Atlanta to Germany is 9 hours. They feed you well. Only if you are awake. Enjoy your trip Auf Wiedersehen

I wasn't able to find any non-stop flights listed. Probably the fastest way is to take Northwest Airlines and change planes in Amsterdam, Holland. That takes about 11 hours if you're flying to Berlin. Which city in Germany are you going to?

I'm not sure where the other people got their answers, but I just checked it myseld and the non stop flight is 8 hrs. 20 mins. This is the correct info. by Sidestep. There IS a NON STOP flight from DTW to FRA! :)
