Tell him to check for TP before he does his business.

Yuck. Too bad for the kid. I would definite make a written complaint to the administration. In California we have a law, the Williams Complaint. (It may apply to other states) By law the restroom(s) need to be clean and stocked with necessary supplies. Or the school will face a law suit. Hopefully it was a one time only situation. Bringing it to the correct parties attention should help prevent this from reoccurring.

This made me chuckle as I relived an episode with my 6 yr old....no toilet paper at all. So he did what all 6yr old should do...He stood in the "bent over hands to ankle" mode and screamed "WOULD SOME ONE PLEASE COME AND WIPE MY BUTT?!?!?!?"

Seriously though, life is about "figuring it out".....I am more intersted to know what DID the kid do???? Kids are resourceful. When life hands you NO toilet paper, sometime you gotta grab a ________.(i have no clue) Maybe a water splash and hand dryer and move on.....there are more important things to handle.

If there were no tissue anywhere, I, being the understand parent that I would be in such a situation, would wet my hand (with running water in the sink) and wipe his butt with it. I would then rinse my hand in the running water and repeat as necessary to achieve our goal. Then, I'd smile and tell my kid that if we were cub scouts, we'd probably earn a pooper badge for having accomplished this.

Addendum: If the kid was alone, and the thought of coming home with poopy underwear was not an option, then taking his socks off and using and disposing of them might be acceptable to him.

PS: If your child chooses to come home with poopy drawers, I don't think it would be wise to embarrass him by telling him he turned out to be a stinker rather than a thinker. He did think, and he made a choice. One that turned out to be less expensive for you to deal with. Poopy drawers can be washed inexpensively, but discarded poopy socks need to be replaced and possibly at greater cost.

If there really was no way to get paper from anywhere - another person or cubical or in handbag, then just put pants on and clean up at some point later.
why do you ask?

Well, they could ask the person in the next stall if they have any toilette paper, or tell him/her to check the stall before they go, or one thing I do is buy those little packs of kleenexs and my daughter carries it with her, it comes in handy for things like that.

If there was none in the whole bathroom I would use the roll. i have had to do that before. Just take the empty roll off the dispenser and use it and put it in the trash.

I always check first, but if I did forget I'd shout through to the person in the cubicle next door.
