You actually need more calories right now, because you are feeding the baby through your breast milk. Eat a sensible healthy diet and exercise and the weight will come off. Don't try to "diet" per se, that is not what your baby needs.

Don't even think of reducing your dietary intake whilst you are breast-feeding your baby! If you are eating a healthy variety of foods and taking exercise you should return to normal quite quickly. In a month or so you might think of adding some solids to your baby's diet and your milk supply might lessen. This may help you feel a bit more energetic. Get out for regular walks with baby in a pram or carrier - you'll soon be trim again! Enjoy the time with your little-one - it is too precious to waste thinking about your waistline!

Dieting while pregnant or nursing is not recommended. Breastfeeding actually burns a lot of calories so if you want to lose a little weight try eating less calories. But remember that what you eat you give straight to that baby through breast milk. Try not to over do it but just eat a little bit less or more healthy.

Breast feeding burns up loads of calories but you aslo need to remeber that you need calories to be able to feed your baby.

Go power walking. You can do this with your little one in a pram or even better with a baby carrier. Babies love being close to the chest & hearing your heartbeat, as this did this for nine months when you were pregnant.

Good luck :-)

Exercise and eliminating surgary snacks that do not offer any nutritional value. Take your baby for a walk every day - weather permitting. Walk to park or playground or to zoo. This is good for you and your baby.

follow the food pyramid and stick to a couple hundred fewer calories a day than you are using (and yes the nursing takes a lot of calories)

best advice is to ask your ob/gyn. depends on how much you want to lose and how fast. Just eating the right portions from the food groups is the wisest way.

the overall public of a breast is fat so in case you lose fat, you'll lose the breasts, yet when I dropped 32 pounds and went from a 36D to a 32A, trust me, there is no longer something incorrect with dropping them.
