I see training hair salon almost everywhere: It offers cheaper price to customer than regular hair salon.

When you just learning how to cut from zero, do you directly learning from these salon, or they teach you first on some other place?

How long you're gonna stay in training salon before you apply job somewhere?

If they gonna teach you first in other place, how long it would take?

Beauty colleges take about a year. They start with the instructor showing you on wigs, how to cut hair. Then you cut each other's hair or family members hair. The instructor is there over your shoulder all the time. From there you go to customers. They know you are a student and the instructor is there to fix any mistakes. It is a great way for a student to learn, but nerve wracking! After that year you can take more instruction, or go to the shows to see the new stuff. It is a really good career if you pay attention and do what your customer wants done. Hope that helps. Nana

I use beauty schools to have my hair cut, colored, etc. You get the experience, I get a good price, and I have never left UNHAPPY! I believe it takes about 12 to 18 months.
