My,my,my!
The fruits of the spirit are" love, joy,peace,patience,kindness,goodness,faithfulness,gentleness,self-control".
These are the things that will prove you are a Christian; not quoting the Bible! It's a shame there were so few Christian answers, but Kudos to those few!
"Christians" are too tender; it's high time to toughen up. How can a question unsettle so much?

Unfortunately, I don't always walk the walk. I try, but sometimes I fail.

lazybones,
I hope I can. I haven't died yet. Here are some people that have walked the walk:
XIV. Luke The evangelist, was the author of the Gospel which goes under his name. He travelled with Paul through various countries, and is supposed to have been hanged on an olive tree, by the idolatrous priests of Greece.

XV. Simon Surnamed Zelotes, preached the Gospel in Mauritania, Africa, and even in Britain, in which latter country he was crucified, A.D. 74.

XVI. John The "beloved disciple," was brother to James the Great. The churches of Smyrna, Pergamos, Sardis, Philadelphia, Laodicea, and Thyatira, were founded by him. From Ephesus he was ordered to be sent to Rome, where it is affirmed he was cast into a cauldron of boiling oil. He escaped by miracle, without injury. Domitian afterwards banished him to the Isle of Patmos, where he wrote the Book of Revelation. Nerva, the successor of Domitian, recalled him. He was the only apostle who escaped a violent death.

XVII. Barnabas Was of Cyprus, but of Jewish descent, his death is supposed to have taken place about A.D. 73. And yet, notwithstanding all these continual persecutions and horrible punishments, the Church daily increased, deeply rooted in the doctrine of the apostles and of men apostolical, and watered plentously with the blood of saints.

Sorry just a simple atheist here... but i know what they might say because I was raised by a christian (aka. close-minded psychos!) and she would probably say something stupid like: "I don't need proof, I just believe because that is what faith is all about and OUR religion is based on faith, not proof" or "If you need proof then you are not believing and you will be punished" She has been on my case forever for not believing and she even cries!! It's pathetic, really. But, honestly don't expect any real proof from christians, they are just afraid and choose to believe because they are scared, or because they are too dumb to question what they have been told all their life.

Well I live in good old Catholic Ireland. The majority go to mass like good little Christians every Sunday. Most of them to not 'walk the walk', they are narrow minded, unaccepting of anyone who is different, drink like fish, and treat foreign immigrants like sh*t. (obviously there is exceptions). The same goes for the protestants in our community. I do not go to church and I treat my fellow human beings with the same love and respect that I would expect from them. Their hypocrisy makes me vomit!!!

Man is responsible for all the ills of the world,God gave us the ten commandments and the choice of good or evil.
You don't need religion or anything else as long as you try to follow his rules.
Its humans that invent or follow religion's and try to use it as power over others just stick to the rule book and you will turn out fine,God Bless.

And who would I need to prove it to? You? Other people? The only One I need to "prove" it to is The One who watches everything I do every single day and Who knows every thought in my head as it arrives there. No proof required.

That's why it's called Faith... not Proof :) And we're all just out here doing our level best as humans, imperfect as we all might be...

I have yet to see any Christians walk on water or curse fig trees or enable the blind to see. You would think their lord and master would train them to do that for we need those damn fig trees cursed (because we all know that fig newtons are the work of the devil)!
