Well, there'd be no fighting over religion. Since most of the conflicts in the world are about religion, I think that would be a good thing.
Also, people would be able to focus on actual problems, rather than on made up problems like whether this or that god is happy with them, or who's not being devout enough in their practice.
The few benefits of religion, like community and charity, aren't actually exclusive to religion. You can still have these things with no gods involved - just get together on Sunday mornings and talk about whatever you feel like, and then donate your time and money to helping people.
BTW, I'm a Unitarian Universalist; that's pretty much what we do now.

There would be less war waged in the name of religious beliefs, but many more wars waging inside people's hearts.
In other words, I believe that religion at times is a main cause of war and intolerance.
However, no religion would lead to MORE problems, because people would not have a means to find a spiritual connection to the divine.
Despite its imperfections, religion actually brings more good to the world than bad. Just my opinion.

It's pretty much becoming that way now, with Wars Murder on the rise, people living without regard for their fellow human beings.
The misconception with religion is that it is the cause of Wars and problems among people, when in fact, it's people who are to blame not the religions.
Religion and belief DO NOT cause wars, but it's when people try and use that religion and/or belief to their OWN gain is what causes conflict.
Spreading the word of what ever religion you choose is not a reason to fight. In fact we all have intellectual minds which are always in search of learning new perspectives. But, when one person forces their perspective onto another, that's when conflict arises.
I Hope this helps.

If you want to know what the world would be like without religion, investigate life in Russia from 1917 till the Empire broke up in the late 80's. It worked so well they had to kill somewhere between 30 and 50 million of their own citizens.
YOur left wing journalists don't tell you that because they want you to think a left wing government -- with them and their ilk in charge, of course -- would be wonderful.
Russia actually killed many tmies more people than Hitler did.
There was hunger and despair.
But, what the heck? They were free from the evil yoke of religion, right?

Mankind seems to have a need for there to be a higher power. For some, it's religion. For others, it's an imaginary friend. If there were no religion, we'd find a way to empower those we feel are above us.

It is a nonsense question. It reminds me of people who claim that they world would be better if everyone was christian, muslim, jewish, atheist, ect.ect. People are just too complex for everyone to believe in the same thing. There are great differences that exist even among people of the same religion.

For a start there would be no religious wars between the muslims and the christians so that has to be a good thing. People could travel to where ever they wanted because they would not fear flying or abduction by extremists.
I think life would be a lot more peaceful than it is now. I would love that.

A reiligion is any system of beliefs, practices, ethical values and the conscientious pursuit of such.
So I guess a world without belief in anything to do with the practice of ethics would be too much chaos for me.
Aren't we just about there now?

with out faith, we would not have made it. some thing had to band at the same time communities of early people, and it wasn't going to be something. it is what human beings of the time concept, and have been able to thinking. faith grew to become into the government, and with out that, there's no communities. with out communities, there may be no financial equipment and commerce, and with out that there would not have been the creation of non-non secular governments. this is area of the circle that have been given us right here. various undesirable, some sturdy - yet regardless, a mandatory function of our history to get us faraway from wild, disorganized, life.

Ripe for the picking.
For so many people it is natural to believe in something greater than them that they just need to hear some different explanations from people who claim they know the truth, then its just a matter of faith.
