If by gay you mean you practice a homosexual lifestyle, then the Bible is clear that such ACTS (but not the person who engages in them) are abominations. God hates the acts but loves the person. You can be saved by Jesus by acknowledging your sinful lifestyle, genuinely seek forgiveness and give your life to Jesus. There is NO proven genetic or heriditary basis for homosexual behaviour.

If you mean happy that is good - the word has somehow changed to mean homosexual.
If you mean in an homosexual way, good luck to you it is not an abomination. Homosexuals didn't ask to be that way and they can't help what nature made them. People need to read up on what happens to the egg in the womb.

I am aware of the word 'gay' meaning 'happy' and also 'homosexual', but I've never heard it used to mean 'abomination'...

urm? are you attracted to the same sex as you are are you just glad about life? difine the question. if you are a man/woman that would like to have sex with another man/woman you are gay.
if you are happy the old fashioned term for that would be gay.
