That's a hard call. Many people throughout the bible drank wine. Jesus even drank wine. The thing is though, that drinking too much wine or becoming an alcoholic is sinful, so is getting drunk. You don't know if you are suseptible to becoming an alcoholic until you've drank alcohol in the first place. In other words, it could cause you to sin. I wouln't want to take the chance. Does this make sence, I hope it helps.

No, it is not wrong for a Christian to have a few glasses of wine. They should not become dependent on the wine or they become a slave to it.
((The same can be said of people that NEED coffee in the morning. Those Christians are slaves to caffine, but they don't give it a second thought.))

Personally i think drinking or eating anything which really has danger for you is wrong. That why i think the Muslims are very right in knowing wine and beer haraam and maybe if we all did as so (not drink beer and stuff) we'd have a better life!! Just think about it.

It depends on what a few glasses of wine does to you. The Bible says not do be drunk with wine, but be filled with the Holy Ghost.

If wine isn't ok why would Jesus' first miracle have been turning water into wine at the wedding at Cana. It's like anything else that has potential for abuse (the body being a temple, and all that)--ok in moderation.

One thing people are leaving out is the fact that wine 2,000 years ago was much weaker than wine today. You could get drunk off of it but you would have to consume much more of it. Moderation. If your consious says no, don't drink it.

What? Why would it be wrong? God doesn't say its wrong to drink, he just says not to do it in excess (gluttony, you know?). If you want to have a glass of wine or two with dinner, go for it. Just don't become an alcoholic.

I don't think there is anything wrong with having a glass of wine with dinner. "A few glasses"? Well. Hm. The bible does say not to be drunk.
I also, if I am out with Christians, would be careful not to do anything that might upset them. There are some Christians who don't drink at all...so I wouldn't want to offend them by having a cocktail, or whatever, if we were out together.
