All this summer I was really feeling Christianity. I was becoming a better Christian and everything. Then when school starts I started to go back to the way I used to be. I started cussing, I lusted(on that real serious tip), I even started to believe that there was no God.

I don't get it. Inside of my house I was very religious, like I am right now(im in my house), but when I got into school I started letting my demons get the worst of me.

How can I stop this?

It's very common so don't fear..It is best to face our temptations but don't give in to them...we all fall often when we're learning to walk in spirit, just pick yourself up, dust yourself off and keep walking with your head held high and laugh often, demons run a mile when faced with happy emotions.Remember, we're human, God loves us anyway!

Why stop it? The fact that this is occurring in the school is an important clue... school SHOULD (would, if our education system were better) shift your mind into 'critical thought' mode, in which rationality prevails over delusional 'beliefs'. The simple fact is that religious beliefs... particularly those associated with the Abrahamic death cults of desert monotheism (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) cannot withstand the glaring light of reason. In other words, religion is NOT for people who know how to think. This was well understood by important figures in religious history. This is why the early church destroyed all the 'tainted' (non-canonical) writings, which were in conflict with dogma... Greek philosophy, medicine, mathematics, astronomy, engineering... all the good stuff. By this means, Christianity dragged humanity directly into the Dark Ages.

Just to illustrate the point, let's see what Martin Luther, the 'father' of protestantism, had to say about 'reason' and secular knowledge:

"Reason must be deluded, blinded, and destroyed. Faith must trample underfoot all reason, sense, and understanding, and whatever it sees must be put out of sight and ... know nothing but the word of God." ~ Martin Luther

"Reason is the greatest enemy that faith has; it never comes to the aid of spiritual things, but -- more frequently than not -- struggles against the divine Word, treating with contempt all that emanates from God." ~ Martin Luther

"There is on earth among all dangers no more dangerous thing than a richly endowed and adroit reason... Reason must be deluded, blinded, and destroyed." ~ Martin Luther

"Reason should be destroyed in all Christians." ~ Martin Luther

You may or may not be able to stop it. If you can't stop it ... don't punish yourself. You were created in God's image. And since all humans are flawed in one way or another . there is a constant struggle within each of us to do the right thing. At home, it is easy to be , or feel more Christian because you are surrounded by your family and friends who feel the same way that you do. At school you are under a lot of peer pressure to do the "wrong things" .. If you really want to "stop it" .. then just know inside of yourself that you DO have the power to stop it. When you are at home, pray if you want to .. and ask for guidance from your God. He/she won't let you down. Remember, you don't have to do anything at school that is bad .. just because others want you to .. think over the situation carefully before you do it .. think .. "is this really something I will feel good about later ? is this something I really want or need to be doing ? " .. If the answers are "no" .. then just don't do it. If your friends stop being friends with you because you "stop" doing certain things . then make new friends that accept your lifestyle and accept who you are for all the wonderful things that you are. Don't give yourself to others that only want to be your friend for as long as you do what they tell you to do .. those friendships will not last. You are worth more than that .. Take care of yourself ..and feel good about the things you decide to do .. and the things you have the courage to decide not to do as well . Good luck ! :)

Peer pressure can be very hard to deal with. If you are sincere in accepting Christ as your savior then you need to live as he would have you to live at home or anywhere else. What your peers think about you shouldn't matter. Jesus said if you are ashamed of me then I will be ashamed of you in heaven. You should understand that if you let people know that you are a christian, there will be some that will mock you, (they mocked Jesus first) but there will be some that will like you and want to befriend you. You just have to choose your path and be true to yourself. I will pray for you.

IronNinja, once one is removed from sin, they will go back into sin, with God leading the way,"you have not backslid", this happens to show you that these things no longer interest you. Like rubbing a puppy's nose in its mess, to break them of wetting the floor. Churches seem to have lost this an other keys to spiritual growth..You may need to seek a spiritual teacher. Pray directly to GOD,please send me a teacher to show me the truth.HE will do so. LOVE whistle britches

As an atheist, I have none of this trouble. I find it amusing that people follow orders from someone they cannot see.

Lust is not a bad thing; it keeps the human race alive. Then again, maybe we ought to be extinct.

If Jesus Christ were alive today to see all of the horrible things that have been done in his name, he would never stop throwing up. -Woody Allen

The bible tells us that the flesh wars against the spirit, and the spirit wars against the flesh. There is also a funny little saying, very true, that "the dog you feed will grow stronger". If you regularly attend church, are in bible study, think about the Word of God, pray, and put your mind on spiritual things, your relationship with Jesus will grow stronger. If you slack off on all these things, and shrug off the need to keep your faith "active", your faith will weaken.

You need to choose what you desire to put your time into. The things of God? The things of this world? The decision you make will determine if you strengthen in faith, or weaken in it. I pray to God, in the name of His son, that He give you the desire to seek Him all the days of your life.

Cut your ties to your parents? I am always amazed when people who really have never read the Bible start misquoting it to us. In the Bible, kids are supposed to stay with their parents.

Now, if jesus comes walking up and asks you as an adult to go with him, then you can leave your parents.

The problem here is the smart-alecky public school kiddies are a really bad influence on you. Do your parents have money for you to go to a religious school?

sound like there's not a lot of Iron in your Ninja.
but don't worry, all have sinned and fallen short, just thank God for Jesus, and the gift of forgiveness that he bought for you.
You will have doubts at your age but hold onto the truth and right will win, there are deceiving spirits in the world, and they will come against you, but faith triumphs over all.
