From what tree you fell off? Look around you and see what it is real. You just said that you are realistic. Reality is open your eyes and see that nature itself is violence and war. Animals in the wild to feed carrie out acts of violence, to protect their territory they carrie wars against the intruder(s). You don't need a book of violence, men himself is a violent been. If we didn't have the book of which you talking about we would have exterminated each other long time ago, even that book of war give love and hope for mankind. To have the freedom that you enjoy so much, somebody had to make war to an oppressive government in the pass, think realistic that some times war is necessary.

If you look for the bad things you will find them, but if you look for the good, you can find it also.
Your comment shows you really have not studied the Bible, but rather picked and chose what suited your argument.
I just did a keyword search on Biblegateway for certain words
Evil came up 472 times
Fight came up 187 times
War came up 187 times also (probably in the same verses)
Battle 208 times
The total is 1,054 and many of these words are used in the same verses.
But
Love came up 697 times
Peace 247 times
Compassion 88 times
Goodness 19
Self-control 36
help 284
for a total of 1,371 and most of these will not be used interchangeably (although they sometimes will)
So while there are numerous battles mentioned in the Bible, the mainstay and the overriding theme of the Bible is about developing a relationship with God, who made a way for everyone to be with him. He sacrificed his son so you have the opportunity to accept or reject him. Also you may want to concede that most of the fighting was mentioned in the Bible BEFORE the birth of Christ.
You may look for hatred in the Bible, but I see the love that God has for us and it is found throughout the Bible. I also see what Jesus told us, to walk with compassion and love towards others. If you read the majority of teachings of Jesus in all 4 of the gospels you will see the pattern for our lives is not to kill or destroy others but to walk in love.
Hope this helps you to better understand why we choose to believe what we believe.

They know this. In fact they are fighting in our country now. Things that they do not agree with become causes in their war against America. Drinking, Homosexuality, nudity, sex, freedom, the list goes on. They personaly do not belive in these things, so instead of avoiding these things, they want these things banned. Like Naxis banning books, the christians push their agenda on everything they can. The war is growing. They will lose. My brother who is gay, and harms no one, will be able to marry some day. The christians cannot win in the end, because they are cruel, evil, and worry way to much about what other people do, instead of looking in their own house for problems.

Who lit the fuse on your Tampon? Geez dude, look around. the history of all mankind is written in warfare. It doesn't matter if you are Christian, Muslim, Shinto, Native American, Mayan, or whatever. Christians don't have a monopoly on war. Even the Bible you site was the old testament, weren't any Christians then!
So what happened? Forget to take your pills this morning?

Mao and Stalin killed more people than all the Christian related wars in history combined. Do the math. Seriously, do the math.
And take off that caps lock.

Actually I think the world could be lost but heaven would still be OK. God has plenty of earths in the universe or so it would seem. This has got to be the worst one.

The only war you would have is within yourself and your heart will never be in peace if that is all you want to believe.

Grace(not Law) unto you and peace(not division),
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Correction: the Holy Bible is a man-u-script for Grace Mercy Peace: "through Jesus->Christ": "the end of the law", as the blessed and only God inspired script-u-are of such plural and "contrary" law vs grace "scriptures" notably written aforetime, as allegory and mystery, for y(our) "learning", to go and "learn" what meaneth I will have mercy, and not sacrifice; and the "not" part is not then, not now, not ever with God never desired sacrifice for sin (which is of the law and by the law) nor ever took pleasure in watching such law law. Selah.
And the "escape" part of such "no escape" (for them) vs "escape" (for us), as the "better" thing of good/better things God provided for us, of them/us, escape is notably via "give more earnest heed" to what's been said, especially what's "God said" (as if declaring the end from the beginning), such as God said: "let there be light" (not lights, nor light + darkness) and God said: "let us make man" (not let them, nor create such law law, nor let law law folk make one prosleyte: more the "child" of hell than former hypocrites, fools, vipers, and blind guides who sat in Moses' seat: Law Law (Mt 22 & 23).
As for violent law law God, such is notably not the only true God of false/true Gods, not the only wise God of foolish/wise Gods, not the living God of dead/living Gods, not that God of this/that Gods; But rather the awful lawful Majesty(God) on "high", in plural and divided "heavens", whom we are exhorted to mind not: "mind not high things", such as Mt 22: 36-40 "law law", for such highmindead things are among things that are "unholy"(2Tim 3). The God of all grace(no law at all), who's also the God of all comfort (no discomfort at all), is notably in "heaven": "higher than the heavens", where "Christ" of "Jesus Christ": "the end of the law" appeared for us, notably "far above the heavens". That God, who was in "Christ"(the Saviour of the world) reconciling the world unto himself(the God of all: grace), is notably "perfect" and "also merciful", perfect love void of fear(hath torment), as is grace void of law, mercy void of sacrifice, peace void of division.
As for "war", h-ear what John Lewis told Congress prior to the need for more body bags in Afghanastand and Iraq: "War does not end strife - it sows it. War does not end hatred - it feeds it.
For those who argue war is a necessary evil, I say you are half right. War is evil. But it is not necessary. War cannot be a necessary evil, because non-violence is a necessary good.
The two cannot co-exist". For when contrary things such as law and grace co-exist they make an oxyMORON with a BAD ending. The Holy Bible has no oxymoronic dead end law law in the end we're told to endure unto, to be saved(only) by grace(only).
http://www.godshew.org/NoLawNoDeadEnd.htm
The "grace" of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
