Great question Lawrence! I have asked myself that question and am satisfied that I am doing exactly what I need to be doing to help making this world better. 1. I taught dance and fitness to people for over 25 years. 2.I became a Social Worker and am currently working to protect children from abuse and neglect. Prior to this I was a counselor for 7 years in a lock down facility for juvenile sexual offenders. My job was educating youth on the negative impact they have had on the lives of others and attempt to lead the youth in a normal/socially acceptable way of life. I worked with survivors of sexual abuse as well. Some faces were the same in both groups. 3. When I retire, I want to write for children and adults.
I cant' do much for the rest of the world, cause I am only one person. But doing what I do touches a lot of lives that I am not even aware of. I try to treat people with respect and dignity and not put my judgements on those I serve. Keep plugging along, sweetie. You also will find your calling. Those who search, always find. Loves. Nana

don,t worry you make this world a better place just by being here providing you are not do ing wrongs and making other people suffer we are all here for a reason unknowingly what it is some people find out the reason others like you and i don,t but if you like myself have given help and advice to others to help there life better they will in some way pass that on in a different way and it causes a chain reaction so you have contributed to the human race more and greater than you think keep it up

Yes, I have asked myself that. And in response I joined Big Brothers Big Sisters so that I could be a Big Sister to someone and give back a little to this world. All we can do is what we can do, but it makes a huge difference. I'm glad to see you're thinking that way, and that you posed the question here. Maybe it will spur others to think that way as well! Good going!

I think about that a lot. What can I do to contribute to others' wellbeing? I try to raise awareness and do little acts of kindness whenever I can. I don't fight with others and I sacrifice my time to help when it's needed. You can't possibly save the world, but you can help others in small ways everyday.

Yep, I think about it. And I do try to help out by giving money, and or my time when I have it available. In the same breathe, there also alot of people who choose not to help themselves. There are several organizations out here in the US to help our people. Try going to South Africa and seeing the children there. You wouldn't think you are in the same world. I think there are alot of people who don't help the suffering, and or world happiness, however, if we were all the same. What a boring life this would be

I'm a clinical social worker. I help people every day. I'm about a year into but, and I feel I need to help on a bigger scale. So I'm going to join the military and help the troops that come back with PTSD. I'll help them readjust, and then they will continue to help others. Very rewarding.

I agree and I do, everyday. A smile to a stranger, a contribution to a charity, a prayer, a helping hand to a neighbor, all these things we can do for each other, PAY IT FORWARD.

Interesting...I guess you are a street philosopher, since you didn't ask a question.
Now, if you wish to be a philosopher, I suggest you work on your spelling and grammar. Most people won't take your philosophical musings seriously if you can' t express yourself clearly, in good grammatical form, and with out egregious spelling errors.
Have a nice day...
