Hi. Thank you for asking this. I would say that it is a fear not a sin. There isn't an angry, judgemental God hanging over us. There is are things we ought to do and not do. But fear of people whose sexuality is pointless. It is not something any of us can choose. And whatever form it takes, its best intention is to bring us closer together in love. Sex is not a sin. It is part of who we are and what God wanted us to be.

You are talking about being a bigot. The best thing to do is realize what you are and stop being a bigot.
The next thing that someone should be considering is whether the idea of sin is actually real.
If God is supposed to be perfect how could She have made anything or anyone that wasn't perfect.
Think about it. The idea of sin assumes certain things about God that seem highly unlikely.
First it assumes a God who is too incompetent to organize a simple educational field excursion and figure out a way to get all of the students home safely.
How likely is this that God would not be smart enough to come up with a plan for our salvation that is going to work?
It also assumes that God must have created us imperfect if we are sinners.
One might assume that God would be able to create someone perfect each and every time if he chose to. Assuming God is capable of this, then it follows logically that we must be perfect creations if we are actually creations of this perfect God.
Unless of course you are saying that God chose to create us imperfect.
If God created us imperfect then anything that may go wrong is Gods fault, not ours. This seems a bit illogical at best so I think that we need to assume that What God creates would have to be perfect.
If this is the case and Gods creations are perfect, then nothing that we can do could change what God created perfect and make it imperfect unless we think that we are more powerful than God is.
How likely is it that we the creation could be more powerful than the creator. I personally find this idea somewhat amusing, and a bit absurd.
Religion tells us that God is perfect. If this is true then it could hardly be logically for Gods creations to be considered to be anything less than perfect.
If this is the case then Nothing that we can ever do could possibly change this perfection that God willed, unless we were so powerful that our choices could override and change the will of God.
How likely is that????
Think about it.
The idea of sin is simple nonsense; a lie made up about God by religion.

First of all, f a g g o t (that means some straight guys* too. Whenever they mistreat their chicks. They are f a g g o t s.) And many gay men* are not f a g g o t s. For example, a manly* professional boxer who happened to be gay...if you're a regular* straight guy, you probably wouldn't dare to call him a f a g g o t without expecting punch in the face*, but that so called straight guy have no problem calling him a f a g g o t behind his back. In this case, the straight guy is a f a g g o t, not the professional boxer who happened to be gay.
*** Clarification: It doesn't matter what you see on T.V or movies, never exert physical violence or punch someone in the face, no matter what. Violence cannot solve a thing and will usually make things worse or in a way that will usually turn out not go be worth it, putting you more into say a disadvantage mode and all that.

I would say homophobia is a sin, any kind of Judge mental attitude about anybody is a sin. People use references in the bible stating homosexuality is wrong, but in the end isn't God the only one who
can make these Judgments.

Sin is interior the international, God made the guidelines He did not make innovations. no one has the right to sin, although sin maintains like there is not any responsibility that there is not any soul and that there'll be no repercussions for doing the incorrect ingredient. there is no longer something incorrect with leaning that direction even if it really is to act out, the picture of wanting to thieve, dishonest on a spouse, anger, drunkenness, popping up, homicide, and suicide. you could desire an excellent variety of sinful issues, temptation occurs yet you do not call for rights for issues that are opposite to progression a society in justice and peace.

It is a sin to act against any one of your fellow men. Jesus preached understanding, humanity, and most importantly, love. The Golden Rule, after all, did come from the bible. And the ten commandments - love thy neighbor.
You should most definately ask for forgiveness, but Jesus called on us to right our wrongs. I think you should try to make amends.

No, homophobia is a disease.
The hateful and hurtful actions that sometimes accompany this disease are considered sins and sometimes crimes.
P.S. I really don't believe in the whole sin thing, but I just wanted to add that Fred Phelps, the pastor/grandpa of his own inbred church/family is one sick son of a ***** as are his followers/relatives.

If you read the bible it says that homosexuality is against God. But, keep in mind, the sin talked about most in the bible is being a bigot, or he who judges others. If you believe in God, then you know that noone has the right to judge anyone, noone but God. So yes, what you are doing is a sin, and you should do something to prove that you are genuin about your apology.

I don't really believe in "sin," but I do think that homophobia is an awful, evil thing and, if you do do something to hurt someone, no matter their sexual orientation, and are truly sorry, you should make it up to them somehow.
