Well it's the 11ism hour, quite frankly when most people get their lazy butts out of bed to go to church.
I used to go to church in the past but I have many issues with various aspects of Christian theology. Most churches, even many of the liberal ones, have an underlining philosophy that Christianity is the only way and ones "salvation" is in question if there is not intellectual adherence to their belief system.
I have tried out other churches like the Universalist Church and the Quaker church but they either tend to be too open ended without enough form, or they have political underpinnings.

jmmevolve, the truth does not always have to be hard. In fact God and the way back to him/her is much more spiritual positive than many have portrayed it to be.

If you are getting spiritual answers here and fellowship with likeminded people then you are at church my brother. Peace be unto you.

Looks like your searching for meaning and truth. Look up some other churches instead, do some research and find local churches or organizations in your erea. When you find the right one for you, you will know it . So no, you don't have to be in a place of worship right now on a Sunday, if it isn't gonna help today just for the sake of attending to make it right.

Going to church is your personal choice. You can keep the sabbath day holy without going to church. You can worship the Lord without sitting in church. You can most certainly reflect and pray to God without being in church.
God says we should seek fellowship with other believers, and the easiest way to do that is in church. There are, however, other ways.
If you are converting from Christianity....again...another personal choice, then there is no need to go to church either.

No, it matters not, only what is in your heart. The only good reason I could give you for going to Church is that there will be like minded people there and some will agree with your views, I agree there is no flexability, the church says 'it's our way or the highway' (hell). This is wrong.

Actually mine meets at 2...join me? There are also a lot that have evening services at 7.
Does a church have to satisfy your comforts? Or are you willing to be just a little discomforted to learn and grow? Change is never an easy road.

If you question things that much, then it sounds like church is not for you to start with. They tend to frown on asking questions they have no ready answer to. Why not read a book today?

I believe you would feel far more spiritual by going on a nature walk then attending any church what so ever.

I'm not in church right now because I have a nasty cold. My mother gave it to me. (thanks, mom!)
Try Southern Baptist. It's the one I attend.
But no matter what church you attend, they will probably have the same message- that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and He is the ONLY way to get to heaven.
Don't go to church to feel good about life. Go to learn the Truth.
Jesus IS the Truth!!!
