It was our original religion. Why don't we finally break the bonds of patriarchy and get back to Her worship?

Ah, yes, Gaia, the wonderful imaginary goddess of the lesbians.

Not only do I think you femis should worship Gaia, but I also think it would be great if you lived life as she wanted it. A pure free-loving matriarchy on the African Veldt.

Then, in a few weeks, the lions can eat you and we will have peace on the planet once more.

The reason the Patriachial God took over was very simple. Gaia and Ba'al worshippers lived a terrible life. Matriarchy is best exemplified today by life in the ghetto. Men with no direction and no goals, hoping to find a woman alone to be used for certain delightful masculine group activities. Total hunger and starvation were it not for funds sent by the patriarchial government.

Patriarchy delivered peace and security and food for women and their children.

You knuckleheads remind me of the gays. There is a great organization called BSA which has hundreds of thousands working for boys. The gays expect to come in, take control of all those workers to their own cause, and think BSA will still have all those great workers still dedicated to the New Cause.

You think you can live by Gaia but still have the social structure created by worshippers of the Male God.

Hee, hee.

Another great question. I've read a lot about this type of worship. It's very interesting reading. Wonder what would have happened if the wrathful male god hadn't taken the place of the goddess? Would this society have been less violent?

Anyway, it could be useful but ultimately I think any kind of worship--unless it leads us back to ourselves, to look inside---really isn't needed.

FIAT (I love that word because it not only indicates agreement but implies acting on your convictions). However, I think that classifying the Divine as either male or female really limits something so big. Why can't it be both, all, everything???

I agree that there's been a long history of male dominance, however, the answer is not a knee jerk feminism, but rather an embracing and balance of all genders, lifestyles, races, etc. as being one small part of a very big picture.

My favorite images of Goddesses include Kwan Yin because she heard the cries of the world and gave up buddahood to tend to that need, and Bast because of her love of dance, joy and humor.

You are free to do what you like. Personally, I didn't have the power to free myself from the fallen nature of Sin and Christ offers that as a free Gift. He also offers His own Divine Life to be mine, to teach and transform me into His Likeness, the likeness of God...a new Creation. He gives me an Eternal Destiny, and a life, now, filled with adventure and joy in the Holy Spirit. What does the Goddess do for you?

We should quit posting personal opinions disguised as questions. That's a deceptive practice that has no place in any discussion of religion or spirituality.

Why don't we just live like mature sensible people and abandon all this superstitious worship stuff.
