You have to remember that your mom has her own idea of "hot" than you do. Everyone has different tastes, refer to that old saying, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Your mom also has a life of her own outside of her children, you cannot control her thoughts or feelings so the best advice is to let her be herself as she lets you be yourself. You wouldn't let her decide who you find attractive so don't expect that you can control her interests.

She's an adult and can date whoever she'd like. You can request that she leave him out of your life but if you live with her, she's unlikely to comply with your wish.
