I'm not a Christian .. so this is purely a guess .. but then , so is everyone elses.. you asked which carrys more weight in the eyes of God . Only he knows the answer to that .. but as a human being, my guess would be that lip service is of little value .. living your life .. being true to yourself and with other people .. (living the Christian life) .. seems more morally correct to me, and will probably score more points with the big guy upstairs. Live the Christian life because YOU want to .. not because you fear what will happen if you don't . If you don't want to live the Christian life , but try to fake it .. then you are only providing lip service and helps no one .. it certainly doesn't help you to try to fake it .. ( if that is what you are feeling right now ) . Just be yourself. God created you and wants you to just be yourself .. you know the Bible says he loves everyone. So why just give lip service when you have so much more to offer people ? :::::: Good luck ! :)

I am trying the best I can, with the help of God, to live a Christian life. Paying lip service to any ideal is a fraud. Go well, and God Bless!

My lips move a lot. It depends upon what one is saying and then doing as a followup that would interest the Big Guy. Anyway it is none of our business what people do as long as they do not hurt others.

Jesus told the Pharisees, "And so you have made the word of God invalid because of your tradition. You, Hypocrites, Isaiah aptly prophesied about you, when he said, 8 ‘This people honors me with their lips, yet their heart is far removed from me. It is in vain that they keep worshiping me, because they teach commands of men as doctrines.’ ” (Matthew 15:6-8.)
As fine as it is to honor Jehovah God with our lips, it is also necessary to honor him by our conduct. Jesus condemned those who, while honoring God with their lips, had hearts that were far removed from Him. (Mark 7:6.) Wrong conduct is bound to bring dishonor to Jehovah God. For example, at Romans 2:23, 24, we read: “You, who take pride in law, do you by your transgressing of the Law dishonor God? For ‘the name of God is being blasphemed on account of you people among the nations.’ ”
We show Jehovah our love by carrying out His will & by our worship.

Being a doer of the Word is better than being a speaker of the Word.
I do my best, but often find myself falling short of the Glory. I keep trying though.

The desire of my heart is to be a doer of the word and not a hearer only. God says in all things, commit my ways to Him and He will give me the desires of my heart.
Therefore, I will leave it to Him to judge if this is so of me.
