Such as the Mennonite Brethren, Church Of Latter Day Saints, Mormons.

After all, the Bible and Christianity clearly forbids polygamy and only allows monogamy.

How can those rogue denominations lie to themselves in front of condemning evidence ?

How can you claim to be a "christian" yet condone polygamy ?

In the first place, Mormonism is NOT Chrisitan, it just likes the pose, as a means of attaining validity in a mostly Christian country. So please don't shrug their bents off on the Christians, they do enough damage to themselves through following the flesh. As to the Mennonite Brethren, originally, this was a method of providing for the care of widows, there being at the time, lots of them and not a lot of men to go around.
And the answer, despite the misnomer, is that man will always tend to follow the flesh, and polygamy is infinitely attractive to the human male, at least in practice. Course, one must to a degree admire those cults which advocate actually marrying these extra women, instead of the more common practice of just screwing them and moving on. You''ll notice that there are not yet any cults of significance which laud polyandry. LOL

Please be clear on your terminology. Mormon and Church of Latter Day Saints are the same thing. You need to make the distinction between regular Mormons and the Fundamentalist Church of LDS, which is a completely different organization.

It's not written in the bible that polygamy is Christian. It's written by people who wish to create a cult that polygamy is the way to become a God. If you're male.

You said the answer yourself. Rogue denominations is the correct term, cult is another. They are branches of Christianity that were formed to contort the true beliefs of the Bible into something someone(s) wanted instead. Jehovah Witnesses aren't much different...although they don't practice polygamy.

God allows polygamy at certain times and in certain circumstances
For instance in the Bible Abraham, Jacob, Isiah, Moses, David, and Solomon, had more than one wife
At other times the Lord forbids it.

I asked some Mormons about polygamy, and they said that is lawful for a man to have a child if he cannot have one with his wife by marrying another women and having the child with her to preserve his seed.

Can't have sex without marriage.

It's like Abraham.. he had a wife he couldn't have a child so he had one with someone else.

So, having 5 wives isn't allowed just for the sake of having five wives.. according to mormons.

LOL, hypocrisy bothers you? That's rich. The entire catholic church is based on the hypocrisy that you need a mediator between you and god when the bible explicitly says you don't. The bible clearly shows god slaughtering hundreds of thousands of people who have not offended him directly, yet the vast majority of xian religions call him "all-loving" or "all-good". This is ridiculous on the face of it

Good point! You can't be a true christian and condone polygamy.

When will polygamy actually refer to multiple spouses instead of multiple wives?

You CANNOT, I repeat CANNOT be a Christian and believe in that stuff. True Christians follow God's law and trust in His word.
