There is a difference between being good and being sinful. Everyone is sinful... No if's, and's or but's about it. The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." You can still be good, but be sinful. My children are generally good children. They mind the rules and are loving to everyone. But, they are human. The lie to me, disobey occasionally, and fight with each other. They are sinful. You asked, "is the way you feel more a truth than something intellecutally taught?" Adolph Hitler felt good about the things that he did. He felt he was morally obligated by God to try and wipe out an entire nation. So is the way he felt about himself more important than what we are taught in God's Book? (Granted, I don't think Hitler was normal. But, many many German people did, and many people still do. So, we need to determine what is considered a normal person, and who is determining this?)

I tell alot of people they need to be saved. It is commanded in the Bible by Jesus for us to tell people how they can go to heaven. For a very long time, I thought that I would go to heaven just because I believe that Jesus died on the cross. But, then someone told me that I needed to be saved, and then explained that it's not just enough to believe it. Even satan believes that Jesus died on the cross, but yet satan is not in heaven. You have to accept Jesus payment for your sin debt for yourself.

All people are in God's heart. John 3:16 says " For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." It doesn't say God loves "this person or that person". It says, He loves the world. Loves everyone (saved or unsaved) so much that He sent His only Son down from heaven to be beaten, kicked, whipped, spit upon, torturred and pay our sins so that whoever claims this payment can be reunited with God in Heaven. This is the only way. It is not whether or not you live in God's heart. You already do. Everyone does. The question is, does Jesus live in your heart?

You're kinda jumping all over the place there. And you'd get more objective answers if you took out the "god's heart" bit. Anyway, you're right that people don't have a problem with original sin until they're told about it. That's how Christianity, and many other religions, work. Basically they start by telling you there's something wrong with you. Then they tell you that their religion is the only way to fix it. If no one told you that you were born with original sin you'd feel better about yourself, and wouldn't be vulnerable enough to fall for such ridiculous lies as religion.

Yes it is child abuse.

The first thing that someone should be considering is whether the idea of sin is actually real.

If God is supposed to be perfect how could She have made anything or anyone that wasn't perfect.
Think about it. The idea of sin assumes certain things about God that seem highly unlikely.

First it assumes a God who is too incompetent to organize a simple educational field excursion and figure out a way to get all of the students home safely.

How likely is this that God would not be smart enough to come up with a plan for our salvation that is going to work?

It also assumes that God must have created us imperfect if we are sinners.

One might assume that God would be able to create someone perfect each and every time if he chose to. Assuming God is capable of this, then it follows logically that we must be perfect creations if we are actually creations of this perfect God.

Unless of course you are saying that God chose to create us imperfect.

If God created us imperfect then anything that may go wrong is Gods fault, not ours. This seems a bit illogical at best so I think that we need to assume that What God creates would have to be perfect.

If this is the case and Gods creations are perfect, then nothing that we can do could change what God created perfect and make it imperfect unless we think that we are more powerful than God is.

How likely is it that we the creation could be more powerful than the creator. I personally find this idea somewhat amusing, and a bit absurd.

Religion tells us that God is perfect. If this is true then it could hardly be logically for Gods creations to be considered to be anything less than perfect.

If this is the case then Nothing that we can ever do could possibly change this perfection that God willed, unless we were so powerful that our choices could override and change the will of God.

How likely is that????

Think about it.

The idea of sin is simple nonsense; a lie made up about God by religion.

Whether you feel it or not you still are born into sin, and need to repent. We are born with a soul/conscious and will not feel good because of the sins in this world we see and hear everyday on TV and the radio. Goodness goes out the window then, I believe if left to our own conclusions that this will lead to hateful and sinful thoughts, it is human nature. So, we have to repent and be saved and continue to ask for forgiveness, as we are not perfect. God Bless!!

Original sin is one of the silliest teachings of religion. A new born cannot sin.

According to his word, we need more than work, and we can't stand on faith alone. Of course we are in his heart and he loves us dearly, but there are things we must do to deserve his complete forgiveness and love. The bible is full of rules, regulations, and commandments we need to follow to inter into the kingdom of God.

I'm sure you also feel you don't deserve to die. Maybe just because someone told you we all have to die didn't know what they were talking about.
Eat right, exercise, stay out of trouble and maybe you will live forever.

(Some feel good preaching. Hope you enjoyed it.)

You can tell people whatever you want. You cant change the fact of who we are before God.

Feelings have very little to do with it.
