No ! Definitely he is not weird. Yes, the more you talk to them, the more they learn and understand you. I talk to my poodle for 9 years and believe me, his vocab could be higher than some humans......nothing is wrong and he is not weird

Of course your dog has a personality, all animals do. Just don't forget that your dog is just that, a dog. It's not a little person in a fur coat or a baby that will never grow up. There's nothing wrong with giving love to your pet,you should, but you should make training your pet your first priority. If not, he'll do whatever he pleases & can cause you lots of problems. You can't let your dog be the leader., which sounds like what you're doing now.

I don't think it's weird at all - I've found that the more you talk to a dog, the more they pick up - either tone of voice or the words they learn. I talk to mine all the time and they'll pick out the words they know out of a whole sentence.

No not at all, they are more loyal than most humans are. Its easier talking to a dog, they do not argue, they do not judge, they listen, and they do not tell secrets. My dog has been my best friend, mainly because he is always there no matter what.

It's totally not wierd. I talk to mine all the time. They keep secrets really well! :) I'm not obsessed either, but I even say "thank you" and "sorry" to them. Maybe someone else would think it's wierd, but they really do become a member of the family.

Nothing wrong with that. If people can talk to plants(which cannot hear) I see no reason for you not to talk to your dog. I talk to my dogs ang my parrot. Unfortunately/Fortunately they do not talk back.

No not weird at all.

My dog's vet told me years ago that Sam regarded himself as "human" as he was around me so much....
