Ah, but which kind of cherries? There are sweet cherries and there are sour cherries. I'm a black cherry sort of person myself, I like a little tartness to spice up the sweet. Too much of either is kinda dull, don't you think?
No bag of poop here, if that's all life is for you, might as well find a hole, go into it and wait for it to be over.

Same thing. The reference to "life is a bowl of cherries" means its pretty but you have to watch out for the pits. Life as a "bag of poop hunny" its simply the same thing without the pretty.
"Life sucks, then you die" is our family motto. However we find this humorous not defeating.
