Personally, I drink soy milk. The fact that they are injecting cows with growth hormones and hormones to make them produce more milk, plus the anitbiotics (which kill good bacteria in the human body) that are found in cow's milk were enough reasons for me to make the switch.

But, I was reading just the other day, where cow's milk has something like 20 times the casein in it that human milk does. Casein is used in the manufacure of glue, which is why Elsie the cow is on the bottle of Elmer's glue. Think about what milk is designed to do. It's designed to grow a newborn baby animal into a young kid. (Had to look this up in the book below) Human milk is designed to take an infant from 8-40 pounds in 18 months. Cow's milk is designed to a take a calf from 90 lbs. to 1000 lbs. in 24 months. Cow's milk is not designed for humans. Also, consider the fact that Americans on average consume 600 lbs of dairy a year, yet we lead the world in rates of osteoporosis. There are better sources of calcium. Humans are the only animal who do not wean their young off milk.

Some people (many Asians and Native Americans, for example) cannot drink cow's milk due to lactose intollerence or other problems, but unless a person has such a problem, no, cow's milk is not bad for people. Some people who cannot drink milk have no trouble whatsoever with cheese, or ice cream, or other processed dairy products.

I have lactose intolerance so I don't drink milk, and I seem to do fine without it . However, is cow milk "bad" for humans ? No. Humans have been drinking milk for how long now ? .. If there is any problem with milk ... it is NOT the milk itself .. it is all the extra chemicals that are now being ingested or shot into the cows that are producing the milk .

According to the "Fit for Life" book, it is..... My whole family passed that book around, and I never got a chance to read it, but my "closest" sister informed me, about alot of what the book had to say.... See, Cows milk was intended for a 400pound calf!! And according to this book, milk turns to a glue like substance, while in our digestive system.........And according to this book, it says if we eat enough fruits & vegeez, whole grains, etc... we'll get enough vitamins, that we wont need milk.... Also, this book said, that once a baby is weened from its mother breasts, or formula, a child should never need milk again, if you feed it proper nourishing foods.. I used to be on the "WIC" program when my youngest daughter was a about `10-11 months old..... And they give you vouchers enough to feed an army, of milk, cheese, and butter........ Well, I didn't normally feed my kids that much milk and cheese before this program, but I didn't want to waste it..... Lo' and behold, my youngest daughter, (a baby at the time) came down with the "Croup" I hope I spelt that right... And she was so "Sick" the doctor was calling my house, to check-up on her.... I was an "emotional-wreck" and I literally thought she was going to die..... she was that sick!!! Then it never occured to me, it might have been all the dairy products I was giving her!!! That she wasn't used to getting........ But, later my sister informed me, about the book, and thats when I reflected back, on when Brittany was so sick, and my sister, felt it was all the dairy, too. So to answer your question, yes, its all in the book, if you can get it, it will give you more answers about it, than I can.... I dont know who its by..... but, the title should be a "one of a kind"... you know. Good-Luck, to you....

It's not needed and it's not all that healthy. Yes, it has calcium but milk is also all sugar which raises blood sugar. Humans are not designed to drink another mammals milk. Cows milk is for baby cows.

its a tougher question than it looks. Cow milk is pretty safe for humans and msot people can drink it with no problems. However, Most mammals rarely drink milk after thier weaning period (IE after breast feeding) and while most people do not develope lactose intolerance most people do not digest lactose nearly as well as adults as they do when they are kids. Most likely, we greew more tolerant of milk as humans evolved with cattle and farming but we did not start out that way.

No. Milk is wonderful, it's almost a perfect food. Most societies have been using it for thousands of years, and you'll notice that there are 6 billion people on earth.

Don't believe the anti-milk and anti-meat alarmist hype.

Love, Jack.

not that I know of. Seems to me that when the industry wants to sell more of one thing they try to diminish their competition, and I think there for a while they were trying to diminish milk. I love milk and cheeses and I'm healthy. Milk with vitamin D is healthy for you. It also keeps my weight in check. Milk is good for pain (like when you're going to go to the dentist) and is a natural laxative also.

In thought, cow's milk, like all mammals' milk, is for babies, so toddlers ought to provide up ingesting milk, from cows or in any different case, and draw their food from''grownup' nutrition. yet then maybe human beings are distinctive, e.g. toddlers take plenty longer to alter into self reliant, relative to their existence expectancy, than different mammals or in actuality animals in maximum cases). 2nd, the composition of milk is rather distinctive between distinctive mammal species. Human milk commonly incorporates a million.a million% protein, 4.2% fat, 7.0% lactose (i.e. sugar), against 3.4% protein, 3.6% fat, and four.6% lactose for cow's milk. Sheep's milk has extra of each thing because of the fact this is thick (much less water). between different issues, it has extra calcium, this is important for bone and the enamel improve. yet then extra calcium than the mandatory volume isn't any good the two, relatively for adults, and the comparable is going for nutrition D, this is important to soak up calcium. third, producing milk from cows takes up distinctive land and power, to no longer point out cows farting and (interestingly) warming the planet... In finished, in my kin all toddlers and adults beverages milk for breakfast because of the fact we like the style. something of the time we drink water or fruit juices, and for adults, beer and wine, is very. Cheers!
