Thiazide diuretic for hypertension

Bendroflumethiazide is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and oedema (fluid retention), often caused by heart failure. It removes excess water from the body by increasing how often you urinate (pass water) and also widens the blood vessels which helps to reduce blood pressure.

Tinzaparin is surely one - they put a lot of patients on it as a prophylactic measure against DVT. And any painkillers, particularly paracetamol. Aspirin and clopidogrel as anti-platelets. Statins for cholesterol... Thiazide diuretics like Bendroflumethiazide to lower blood pressure or reduce oedema. :-)

It is a diuretic. When it's taken, it reduces the amount of fluid in your body & therefore reduces high blood pressure. It will probably make you pee a bit more than you're used to!

Paracetamol for children and adults (in UK ). It's now given without codeine other wise that was the answer to all pain treatments. Then it must be Ibuprofen,again everything from cold to pain. Any anything else, they give out Prozac
