Sorry Gary, had to give you a thumbs down.

Not for your belief, but because you didn't give examples.
Think about testifying in court. "I have lots of proof" won't convince anyone.

IMHO, believers do their religions a great disservice when they claim to have proof, but cannot deliver it. It equates religion to snake oil.

Belief and faith are wonderful things. It is even OK to believe that you know the truth. Just don't expect others to believe your truth without some tangible proof.

The Bible is filled with so many easily proven facts from history. Instead of people being able to disprove the Bible it keeps getting proven true by archaeological finds all the time. You will never however be offered "tangible", I can reach out and touch it, kind of proof about the question you are asking. The only way to know is to believe. Once you believe you can start to understand Gods word and see it come to life in your own life. Actually, when you become a believer and you begin to see the reality of Gods word all around you, you wonder how it is possible not to believe in Him.

It's an unanswerable question. Christians, and sects there of, believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and will quote scripture to prove it. But I ask, how, if all men are born sinners, are we to take the word of these men as truth? And they answer, because the bible is the inspired word of God. It's a big circle.

I want to add though, It doesn't matter what you believe or how you believe it; show me and others the respect that even though we may believe different then you, we am still a good people, just as I am sure you are, and I have the respect that you can and should believe what you want to believe.

Marco Polo wrote of a ship protruding from Mount Ararat on one of his journeys.
And several other people have reported seeing at least a small section of a wooden craft on Mt. Ararat.

The dynasties of ancient Europe were predicted by Daniel hundreds of years before they occurred. History has plenty of documentation of the Babylonian, Greek, Medo-Persian, and Roman Empires. Their symbols match exactly with the one from Daniel. That can't be a coincidence. Not that all four would be correct.

The American Bison (found only in America) was foretold in the bible. It was described as a great shaggy beast with curved horns and all the world was amazed by it. The countries of Europe had been in place for thousands of year before they discovered America and yet that upstart, infant of a country threw off the yoke of monarchy and built itself into a world power that eventually played a large part in the freeing of Europe from Nazism.

It has been written by historians that had America not gained freedom from England and its monarchy rule, it could not have become the wealthy country it was by 1940 and most likely would not have had the resources to repel the Nazis who would have gone on to totally dominate the world because they had rockets and the atomic bomb long before the other countries.
The US only had the "bomb" only because they managed to persuade and literally rescue/kidnap some of the German scientists who were developing it.

No matter how much earthly "proof" is offered there will be naysayers who discount all of it by one means or another. They insist you have no proof because they don't think there can be proof of something they don't believe in yet when proof is supplied they deny it as fairy tales.
They have to. Admitting there is a God who inspired the bible and created the earth would mean they would have to give up their hedonistic ways and pay allegiance to God. They are reluctant to do that because they want to continue in their sefish, sinful ways.

certain. The Catholic church existed before the Bible. in reality they created the Bible. How can they no longer be above it then? Even the Bible says that the church is the pillar and beginning of reality. It does no longer say the Bible is. The church is what gave the Bible its authority. The church determined which books belonged in the Bible. How can a introduction have more effective authority than the author?

The holy Quran which is the true-evidence based final Book of the One and Only God testify that the Bible was inspired by God but it also confirms that it was changed by people and not correctly preserved.

If you, or anyone, would take the time to read the Old Testament prophecies and the New Testament fulfillment of those prophecies, I think that would be quite a bit of proof that, over thousands of years, and dozens of different writers of these books, God performed exactly what He said He was going to by fulfilling those things He had promised.

Personally, sitting down and studying the bible, and seeing it proven both in my life and in the world around me, was proof for me. God gives each person the "proof" they need, if they truly seek it.

The the prophecies. Most of the Bible is prophecy. Jesus foretold the destruction of Jerusalem and specific details of same, ~35 years in advance. Same for old Testament prophecies naming future Persian kings, Alexander the great, etc., centuries before it happened. The prophecies about Jesus were written 700 years before they occurred and the odds of them all happening exactly as written are truly astronomical. There is no other book like the Bible in this regard.

Well. I understand your question because I also believe it is a written story based on a myth, but in the larger sense, it was inspired by "god" because it is man's attempt to explain the unexplainable in terms a human can understand.

Humans can not , in my opinion, ever understand the true total nature of the universe so we have science to explain the physical and spiritual beliefs to explain the metaphysical.

God, in my opinion, is the unexplainable nature of the universe. I meditate on it daily (as a Buddhist)

It was inspired but men have jacked it up and change many things in it that the bible contradicts it self . Allah does not lie and there is a references in the bible to warn of whom changes it will suffer so to speak. But God knew this that they would add partners to him Add him a son . So Allah prepared for it and the Quran was revealed .
