gary,

jesus was a prophet, islam accepts his teachjings as they are the same as mohammeds. just because muslims don't believe jesus was god doesn't mean that muslims are wrong.

Obviously, not everyone in any religion is gonna go out and study other religions. This applies to any religion. Jesus said to watch out for false prophets and those who come in a name other than Christ, are not from God. However, this is where the faith factor comes into play. If you don't believe in Jesus, it's more than reasonable to follow Muhammad's given word of Allah. I know what you're getting at. Modern day Christians do seem to be living inside a box. I'm a Christian too and what really bothers me is how christians just seek salvation and nothing else. I've looked into a vast number or religions including Islam. And I put my faith in Christ. I didn't become a Christian until later in my life and I know how convincing religions can be. However, through philosophy, faith, and research, I chose Christ. I think in many ways it's actually good that you're bringing this up. Christians need to realize that only seeking salvation is not loving God.

No I would NEVER check into that religion. The quran was written by a murderer and makes no sense. I believe in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He IS the Son of God and I am proud to be a Christian and will remain so until the Lord calls me home. I choose to be a Christian and do not look at it as being"inside of a box" as you said and I think You are living inside of the box. I hope you repent of your sins otherwise you will be going to hell.

i'm a non-Muslim who takes position to be an atheist. For me, all religions have an same uncomplicated flaw -- they require that one trust in the life of one (or more effective) great-organic deities. the lack of ability to position self belief in God is strictly what keeps me from being a Christian. it ought to also avert me from growing a Muslim, the position the outcome of my atheism can be a lot more effective extreme. With all due appreciate, the first step in the direction of religion must be understanding that God is authentic, and that is a few thing I have not in any respect been waiting to do. Edit: I do consider "yarn whore" (above) in that authentic looking muslims prefer to do some thing to curtail the moves of the extremists interior Islam, before you are able to anticipate authentic looking Christians to exhibit a lot activity in Islam. As an American, i locate the entire absence of Muslim liberals and moderates operating for peace maximum annoying. If Islam is truly a faith of peace and love, the position are those who love peace? ought to your faith deliver you peace and contentment.....

I have read some of the Koran, enough to believe it's not from God. Why would I put any time into a religion that denies Jesus died on the cross, or that He is the only way to God?

Why would I waste my time studying Islam? I have faith in the trinity -- God the creator, his son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit -- not some man made nonsense. Islam teaches hatred and dishonors the god they pretend to serve. I see the evil that Islam begets such as Islams beating themselves with chains, blowing up buildings and butchering innocent children. Why in God's name would I waste my time on something so evil???? Why would any Christian? We wouldn't, which is why we don't. If you're foolish enough to fall for that garbage that is your problem and you will have to answer to God one day for your foolishness. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.

I have read plenty about Islam and talked to Muslims and it is a very untolerant religion to say the least. One part of the Quran says if your wife misbehaves you can lightly beat her and it does also state that people who don't convert must die. Nice religion. Very peaceful and loving.

No thanks pal; we don't want your Islamic Fascism. It is very hypocritical.

Muslims claim Jesus was a prophet but reject all His teachings ..
They reject His divinity;
they reject his claim to be the Son of God;
they reject his death on the cross;
they reject His ressurrection..
They reject Jesus is the Christ/ Messiah...
Need I say more...?

Don't be deceived. The Islamic god is totally different than the God of Jesus Christ

"Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is anti-Christ, that denies the Father and the Son. He that denies the Son, the same has not the Father." (I John 2:22)
